About right for crew..

Noise boys
Hum scum
Lampy scum
vide-its

We are all looked down on as bottom feeders. Thing is I get to see about 20x more bands than most punters, meet them and raid the rider! :D

.p.

Nah mate, the true bottom feeders are the pricks who hold up their lighters and wave them around while standing next to me (I'm a 6 foot 4 bloke with long arms) and then wonder where the smells of scorched arm hair and burnt flesh (punctuated by a howl of outraged pain) are coming from.

i would have the band at the bottom of the heriarchy, the dj above that, then the promoter, then bar staff, then on the top woudl come the wonderful crowd.

You can often see an interesting support band sharing the bill with a crap headline act though. Super Furry Animals supporting the fabulously dull Air comes to mind...
That's also true, but the support band should be somewhere in the list. Maybe fourth.

Also on the defense of Roadies: they might be cable-pushers and guitar-tuners, but in most cases they're more accessible than the bands themselves, and having a friend working as a roadie might earn a few minutes in the backstage...
