The Guide To Bands That Rip-Off Other Bands

Some hairy weirdos called Led Zeppelin keep ripping off the White Stripes.

They both use the blues scale. There is nothing new in music. Everything and I mean everything has been done before. The only real differences now happen in studios, messing with frequencies and the like.

How WRONG is that?
Has AK ever listened to Northern Soul?

I haven't even heard of Northern Soul.

With a shit name like that I don't really wanna. Sounds like old peoples music.

The is the wrongest - they are contemorary bands and they sound nothing like each other.
If Mono have ripped anyone off, it's John Barry.

You're confused. Get your facts right.

Mono you're talking of - "Mono was a British pop duo which became a one-hit wonder in the late 1990s with their song "Life in Mono". The group is considered electronica or more specifically "trip hop" and Mono's music shares some similarities with other such acts including Sneaker Pimps and Portishead."

Mono I'm talking of - "Mono is a post-rock group from Tokyo, Japan. The songs, all of which are instrumental, are usually focused on layered guitar melodies. Strings and pianos are also prominently featured in some songs. Mono are known for their powerful live shows and their complex guitar work."

Bollocks - I was talking of the former Mono, so I was right.
It's immaterial you were talking about another band - you should have made it clearer - I've never heard of the other band.
Shit derivative name anyhow, rather like yours.

Shove it up your plastic arsehole. :p

Why did you put it in your post then, you eejit?

Like it says in the OP: "all contributions welcome." I can't be expected to have heard of ever band. Don't really want to either... Some of them sound really shite.

AJ - you'd do well to be less dismissive of other people's points of view. Sooner or later, everyone will think you are, at worst, a complete and utter tool, or at best, a petulant teenager.

Oh no! A picture of Kevin the teenager!!!

Your brillant powers of wit and observation have mortally wounded me! The Shakespearen levels of dialogue and wordplay have pricked my side and left me bleeding on the pavement like the weakling I am...

I am vanquished!

My lesson has been truly learned!

Oh woe is me!
