The greatest poem in the world (LFC European Champions)

Great Poem just working out the chords now for my next gig:D

fuck off the rest of ya with ya inter 2 bob teams :p :D

After the Farm released "All Together Now" as our cup song in 1995, I didn't proclaim the song to anyone as good, because I recognised it wasn't a very good (tried to rhyme sixty-six with Catterick) even though I was delighted with winning the cup.

The fact that Liverpool fans like this shite despite it being exactly that shows that they're utterly blinded - anything or anyone is good as long as it says it likes Liverpool.

Yes, of course, that's exactly what I was doing  The other difference between us and the bluenoses is that we know how to have a 'tonue-in-cheek' look at our achievements, and the players who have written themselves into club legend. A spirit that seems sadly lacking from our (apparently more sophisticated and bourgeois) Merseyside neighbours.

he first said when giving a speech to an audience of Oxford students. someone asked him for a poem and that's what he said. excellent.

I like the one he came up with on Parky about a rematch with him and and Joe Frazer. 'Scuse the c&p, dont kno it off by heart:

Ding! Ali comes out to meet Frazier
But Frazier starts to retreat
If Frazier goes back any further
He'll wind up in a ringside seat

Ali swings to the left
Ali swings to the right
Look at the kid
Carry the fight

Frazier keeps backing
But there's not enough room
It's a matter of time
Then Ali lowers the boom

Now Ali lands to the right
What a beautiful swing!
And deposits Frazier
Clean out of the ring

Frazier's still rising
But the referee wears a frown
For he can't start counting
Till Frazier comes down

Now Frazier disappears from view
The crowd is getting frantic
But our radar stations have picked him up
He's somewhere over the Atlantic

Who would have thought that
When they came to the fight
That they would have witnessed
The launching of a coloured satellite!

fwiw, he regurgitates a lot of stuff. he first said that in a press conference in the US... a lot of his stuff chops and changes.

but still beautiful.
