They're both shit but Oasis, the world's 2nd worst band after U2, are by far the shitter.

Meanwhile, Rocket From The Crypt released 3 cracking albums in 1995 that sold fuck all.

yeah well tbh, if you can't understand the concept of sentiment in assessing a songs worth. like, i suppose that you could say that radio 1 airplay made them such. but they were the one's that got airplay, not you :p

and next you'll be bringing up tony blair, right copkiller?

"not too political, nothing too clever"

i don't know who that song is from and tbh i don't want to fight.

eta: if you're going to be an anti-working class snob about it then sure. indie scene is IT. i mean, i just don't know how anyone can assess something's worth without thinking of their impact on people. art is a product of it's environment and all that.

yeah. i didn't notice anything. but this week:

my mum's been diagnosed with a minor skin cancer (nothing serious)
my dad's been diasgnosed with irregular heartbeat (pacemaker? unlikely i hope)
my brother's on his last legs wrt before he gets sectioned for the second time

suppose that might be it. dunno.

Sorry to hear that, I hope all goes well for all concearned but in the mean time naybe you should get your head down, fella. You'll only wake up at some silly hour and be awake at 4am tomorrow night. Look after yourself so you can look after others init.

Take care, man.

that don't need looking after. apart from my brother and i don't think i can help tbh. i'm not a doctor :D

but cheers for support. i think i they want/need from me is me not climbiing the walls tbh. i don't think that's vry likely atm.

Go to bed, try and sleep and don't be reading or getting wound up by crap idiots like myself write on forums.

gonna be gutted if anyone dies tho. i haven't done anything wrong tho, i've been really lovely, in a way, to them for the past year. as long as it's safe to think that, i can't regret nothing.

but yeah, it'll be a shock. there's nothing to really prepare you. but they will most likely be ok. weird that it happened at the same time.

Shite record (I love Blur but it really was awful) aside from The Universal and Yuko and Hiro.

Still pisses all over the Manc lads though, which is a damning indictment.

They are both a bit shite, but Blur's effort wins out thanks to the nasal twinge of Ken Livingstone.

Then ernold same caught the same train
At the same station
Sat in the same seat
With the same nasty stain
Next to same old whats-his-name
On his way to the same place
With the same name
To do the same thing
Again and again and again
Poor old ernold same

I used to think it at the time of the Blur vs Oasis rubbish in the 90s, but it's even more apparent that Albarn and cos have more talent in their little fingers than the idiot brothers had in their whole lives.

Gorrilaz utterly proves that Albarn is way out there ahead of Noel as an artist generally...

I mean I know that I'm supporting the home team and all (Essex boyz together innit?) but even excepting that Blur were/are better...

listen upto 40seconds of this and say it's not very good. if a little lacking in style.

i couldn't make it thru the rest tho. maybe another day :)

wasn't really into either band at the time, but if i had to choose now it would be blur anytime. although i'd rather listen to rocket from the crypt (i've not just plucked them out of the blue for no reason, copliker mentioned them on page 1 of this thread. "scream ,dracula, scream" was one of my favourite albums of the mid-nineties)
