The Great Big Cereal Thread

i also like shredded wheat
Only the small shredded wheat though - the big ones are useless to try and eat. They break up and fall out of the bowl and its bloody ages before you get a piece just the right gob-size

half the fun is breaking them up into smaller bits. that and hoping you get it all in yer gob so the milk doesnt run down your chin

I remember something called Frugrains when I was little. Came in a large metal container about a foot high.

Can't recall if we had ration books then though.
Wonder if you can still get it.

No no no

My mind doesn't actually start working until AFTER I've left the house of a morning. It doesn't want to be thinking about methods of breaking up friggin cereal!

Anyway the big ones don't go mushy in milk cos they're like big fucking barrelchested pieces of err...stuff...that stay crispy

urgh

my favourite cereal at the moment is porridge with mixed seeds, a sliced peach, and if i'm feeling slightly less disgustingly healthy, a decent puddle of golden syrup or melty brown sugar. i started out just eating the porridge and the golden syrup, and then realised that i was adding a LAKE of syrup, and that whilst it was beyond delish, it is bad when breakfast makes your teeth ache. i have only got into porridge because i am Teh Poor right now and you can get a kilo of it down asdal for 49p or something silly; when i am rich and sleeping on a bed of pound notes i will treat myself every now and again to a kelloggs multipack, and i will get all seven- year-old about the coco pops, because they are my favourite cereal of alltime and it still wouldn't be safe for me to have a whole packet in the house because i could easily do it in one sitting. by the way, i am 32.
