The Great Big Cereal Thread

Not a big cereal fan, but I do make my own granola, which is very tasty, and dead simple to make.

they're after me lucky charms!

Sugar Puffs, aka breakfast crack.

I'll get 4 portions out of a large box if I'm lucky, the most I had in one go was a big casserole dish full to the top that required over a pint of milk. :D

My mate used to live near a Nestle factory... whenever it was going to rain,( dont ask.) there would be the smell of Sugar Puffs and coffee in the air. How glorious is that I hear you ask?

Very!

I don't like crunchy cereals - at any time. Makes me sick when I hear crunching especially first thing in the morning. My cereal is either Ready Brek, or Weetabix - both have to have the milk warmed in the microwave for 20 seconds, be mushy, and only a bit of sugar

Not anal, honest

I prefer different combinations each morning, some cereals go very well with each other.
Although I'm currently making my own Granola/oat affair :)

:D
I think Granola is a blanket term for a cereal consisting of mixed grains, dried fruit, nuts, seeds etc. Like posh muesli maybe?
I also pour a whole cup of tea on my cereal instead of milk, it instantly warms/softens it, but everyone who witnesses this calls me dirty names...

They don't half make one's breath stink though.

I didn't know that. Blimey, after a casserole of the stuff your urine must have honked like a two day old corpse.

(((aqua)))

who said he eats like that when I'm there :D

thankfully the casserole incident was before I knew him

i haven't had sugar puffs for years :D not sure i want any now

i eat muesli, used to eat weetabix. i miss weetabix. might buy some this weekend

porridge in the winter though, with that honey that comes in squeezable pots :D

We tend to have in bran flakes and weetabix. Currently got in crunchy nut cornflakes. yum. I've also made my own muesli.

I've got some whole grain cornflakes here, they taste just like bran flakes. Skank imo.

I used to eat pop tarts for breakfast, I couldnt believe how simple and tasy they were. That was before I lost three fingers to sugar overdosage in the spring of '99 :(

weetabix, with hot tea (no milk) poured over them:cool:

it's the only way i eat them, since i was a kid, my dad had to look after us ionce when mum was in hospital, he couldn't be arsed making a pot of tea, and boiling the milk, so he simply made a big pot of tea and poured it over the weetabix, and just plonked it in front of us little kids, with a take it or leave look:(

luckily it tastes great:)

I have so lost my sweet tooth for things like this.

bacon, egg, sausage, beans, mushrooms, ulster fry and a mug of black tea at our local real cafe. i could have toast, but he only does white bread, so i don't bother :D

technically its not cereal, but there is some rusk in the sausages which i am lead to believe is wheat based :D
