The Grand National

Never been in the sports forum before - how exciting! Couldn't resist, love the National although always feel a bit guilty too.:hmm:

Anyway I've decided on:

Philsons Run
Comply or Die

and possibly one other but can't remember the name - will pop it on shortly.:o Right it's Snowy Morning.

Good luck everyone - but mostly me!

watch out....

right i have been entrusted with £30 of my works lottery syndicate winnigns (we are not the luckiest sndicate it has to be said....) to stick on some gee gees.

we are having £5 on each of the three favourites (whatever they be when i get to the bookies later) then we each had £1.25 to stick on a horse of our choice :D i went for mckelvey, but we've got horses such as simon, mr apointment and backbeat in the mix so who knows how lucky we will be....probably following our pattern of luck in the lottery lol !:D

got to decide on my final horses for my own money....thinking comply or die, hedgehunter (for old times sakes) and one other....

Right, I've given my FIL my instructions....

We are having a fiver on King Johns Castle, £3 on Hedgerunner and £2 on Iron Man.

Sorry, for anyone else who has bet on those horses. Usually, the ones I bet on either fall or die during the race. :(

have been to the bookies, and done works bets, and we have the following horses with varying amounts on: cloudy lane, comply or die, simon, mr apointment, mckelvey, chelsea harbour, vodka bleu, mon mome, backbeat, point barrow, and butlers cabin, LOL!

my own are as follows:
£1win on comply or die
and 50p each way (:D) on hedgehunter, kelami, philson run, and king johns castle

come on hedgehunter!

between me and the missus.....£1 EW on Backbeat, Baily Breeze, D'Argent, Kelami and Mckelvey + couple of quid on Cloudy Lane to win to cover costs :)

I stuck a fiver e/w on Comply or Die last night when i was pissed. It's the first time i've bet on the National for years.

Fingers crossed :)

£10 e/w on King John's Catle @ 20/1
£5 e/w on Comply or Die @ 9/1
£1 e/w on Baily Breeze @ 66/1
£10 for first four on Cloudy Lane @ 5/2

Mr Pointment, King John's Castle, Slim Pickings, Hedgehunter, D'Argent, Chelsea Harbour and Bewley's Berry. £5 each way. Come on! And come home safely.

Thanks to urban for the form tips

£5 win on

Slim Pickings
Butlers Cabin

£2.50 e/w on

Cornish Sett
Black Apalachi

Also have a couple in a sweepstake, Dun Doire and Backbeat.

i've got a tenner on comply or die, 3 quid on mr pointment, 2 on nadover (at something like 450-1 ), all to win.

quidco were doing a ridiculous cashback where you got £50 for a placing £10 bet on betfair so i'm already a winner  (think is still on for short time but down to £30 cos too many people applied).

I got a little carried away at the online bookies & put £3 e/w on D'argent, Madison du Berlai, Philson Run, L'ami, Simon, Bewleys Berry and Naughton Brook, along with a couple of complicated combination forecasts. I must be guaranteed to get at least on place, and possibly even win a small percentage of my stake back... :D

In my get anything between 12 and 20-1, I randomly picked hedgehunter as I liked the name. 10 quid each way.

Come on hedgehunter!!111
