And i've said that no i don't know who it is, about 3 or 4 times now. You've yet to answer - don't bother if it's that important or a big secret. It was an honest query and you've reacted like this. Ok, i give up.

I don't know who it is but I have suggested that you do. You do nothing "honestly" as far as I am concerned. Since your return, you have sought confrontation after confrontation with me. Please don't deny it because you'd be lying if you did.

The voting on the other thread reflects the clique-ish nature of this forum and the gang mentality of some of the posters.

I find all of this a little too one-sided. Maybe if you actually paid more attention to what was happening, rather than what some folk say, then you might understand.

but there's the nub of the problem nino - i often give up following threads after your spats with various posters - the immigration one's for instance - it just becomes one clever dick personally abusing/counter-abusing another clever dick. The issues and points to be made get lost

sorry for not 'paying attention' mr nino, sir :p

*potters off to not pay attention elsewhere*

Hang on, I think that you're viewing this from a particularly biased perspective: torres has been accusing me of "being obsessed with racism" (that's just one issue). On one immigration thread he deliberately sought a confrontation with me and on MATB, when I was being abused by his pal, Swarthy, he practically insisted that I "started it". That is the sort of thing that I'm dealing with. Too many people are fond of accusing me of "abusing others" but I only give as good as I get. Would you sit back and let someone make baseless accusations about you? I don't think that you would.

No, of course not - i'd make sure I at least tried to show the reasons for my reaction (rather than initiation) of a slanging match and generally try to avoid falling into that trap rather than jumping at every attempt to derail me from the valid points I feel I would be more useful making. :)

How do you propose I "show the reasons for my reaction"? I have done this already but it would seem that, rather than acknowledge those reasons, those reading these posts appear to be more inclined to adopt the position of my accusers.

I do not go out of my way to have slanging matches with people. What I tend to find is that I am often followed around the boards by posters who do nothing but stir up trouble and then blame that trouble on me.

maybe you've developed a bit of a reputation - one i assume along with a few others mate. maybe thats unfair and maybe you are right that some folk are just out to wind you up unfairly.

i'm too much of a lazy toad to look go through all the posts and am just basing my assumptions on what i have noticed for a while now - to be completely honest.

i get the impression you are an intelligent person with lots of sensible points to make but get sidelined in abuse and slagging off. not cliaming to be perfect myself - far from it - but i don't think it helps get across valid things you have to say.

anyway - i've said more than enough, probably too much

It is difficult to make any points at all when I am continually subjected to near-constant abuse and stalking. I'm beginning to remember why I rarely posted on UK P&P. Others, rather than resort to outright abuse, will pretend that I didn't "address their points".

Anyway, let's leave it there - shall we? :)

You spectacularly miss the point - again! The whole 'election' is an exercise in vanity. The EA (a banned poster) began the poll, so I take it all with a tonne of salt. It reflects the clique-ish nature of discussion on this forum.

I don't know if you'd noticed, but you don't appear on the list...on this thread. :p :D

Hello Monsignor Nino, please do not spread false rumours. I am not banned as you suggest but have merely been on holiday. The bribes I have been offered and have of course taken are outrageous.:D

Please note the new thread i will post shortly.

I'm not "spreading" anything but your popularity contest is transparent. You were banned - were you not? Albeit temporarily.

Oh and "monsignor"? I have nothing whatsoever to do with the Church of Rome. On yer bike.

Heh, just evened it up by voting for vp.

Not really sure what this is about though, but I'm sure he deserves to win :)

Whereas I'm convinced that you deserve to win, not least for being a fundamentalist Druid. :)

Crikey...Less people voted on this the er genuine thread than the other one....Strange.....

This poll was open for 7 days only, and had 32 unique voters since it began on 7th July.

The other poll is still open, and had 46 unique voters since it began on 23rdJune.

Both threads were multiple choice, with several posters voting for several candidates.

Statistics are such fun, aren't they.

Yeah hardly a ringing endorsement of your official poll is it?

If it's popularity you're trying to gauge, then the 7 day Genuine Urban thread was 2.4 times more popular with urbanites than the thread made by the newbie known as 'The Election Authority', and that statistic grows with each day, so by tomorrow, Genuine Urban thread will be 2.5 times more popular, by day 40, it will be 4 times more popular, ad infinitum :p

"Official poll"?

Can't find anything at all on this thread claiming it's an "official poll", balders.

Are you sure you're not, you know, making shit up again? :)

Sorry i know its a huge issue out there in the streets that have no name....Or Vauxhall maybe....I cant say i'm too interested in the difference between genuine and official....But you with your 25 hours a day spent addressing these important issues have put me right.

You think I'd waste more time on you than it takes to tell you you're a sad tosser?

Ps you beat me in both polls....See i told you there was a lot of hopeless tossers on here.
What a different song you'd have sung if people had voted for you, though, eh?

I didn't "beat" you, by the way. You beat yourself, although I'm sure you won't be able to work out why or how. :)
