I won't miss those really annoying gits who play their mp3 players really loudly and when sitting next to them I have a similar-to-tinnitus experience of listening to hiss-crackle-duff-duff-duff-hisssssssssssss.

But I won't miss those gits that use all the overhead lockers by filling them out with suitcases because they are too lazy to wait 15 minutes like everyone else.
I will miss being able to do this. You'd appreciate the joys of carry on only if you'd had a £200 brand new carpet knicked off a luggage carousel en route home from holiday.
I travel light. A small convertible wheely suitcase/rucksack in the overhead locker and a big handbag/flight bag under the seat.
Much better and safer than worrying if someone's knicked your luggage or some dozy baggage handler has sent it to Timbuktu.
Still for sale apparently. Once you go through security, the airside shops are still open as all goods for sale and the staff who work in the shops have been checked and se curity cleared.
