The FA Cup Final Thread.....

I'd like Chelsea to win but I reckon Man U will edge it.

Mourinho seems to be having some sort of meltdown atm which can't exactly help.

2 - 1 United I reckon.

At least one red card and oodles of yellows.

Pictures normally help emoticise something. This is what we are arguing about.

A disgrace however caused.

One of the many reasons to hate LFC.

Absolutely horrific.

That is true in the same way that everyone dies because their heart stops beating.

"Violence was immediate. Italian fascists, who were present in force among the Juventus contingent, goaded supporters into making incursions into the main body of Liverpool fans, at the Western end of an enormous shared terrace. What were initially scuffles quickly escalated into a series of serious terrace battles. Then, 20:45 local time, something dreadful happened. The Liverpool fans charged into a solid mass of Juventus support, which was hemmed in on three sides by crumbling concrete walls. Unstoppable force had met immovable object.

The Juventus supporters attempted to fall back. However, with no avenue of retreat, they simply piled on top of each other. Panic set in among the Italians, some of whom were now starting to be crushed at the rear of the terrace as the Liverpool supporters continued to charge against the front. At this moment, with police and stewards too stunned to react, a wall at the Eastern end of the terrace gave way. Dozens of Juventus supporters were now trapped against what remained of the wall, and were trampled underfoot as thousands of people stampeded over them. It was at this point that the majority of the deaths occurred".

It's a very good article worth reading, especially about the connotations of the previous year - events which were very similar to what Utd fans experienced in Rome this year.

Hooliganism was rife in those days...I daresay any team's fans playing in that stadium could have caused the same 'tragedy'.

probably but the fact is it was Liverpool and yet everyother english club got banned because of it, yet everyone is meant to act like it was a Liverpool tragedy and as taboo as Hillsborough were innocent Liverpool fans died. Then everyone has to listen to how Liverpool have such a glorious European tradition.

It's a Juventus tragedy, not Liverpool.

I take your point about the taboo...I genuinely don't understand what 'Justice for the 96' would entail exactly.

Jesus Revol. I'm all for a little bit of banter about football, but do you always have to be such a distasteful little pillock?

Another thread ruined by the same old shite then. You must be very proud.

I have a wild theory, Alex Ferguson will retire after tomorrow.

I don't reckon it's his style to announce ahead of a retirement. I think not winning the Champions League this year could be the clincher.

Am I on to something or is it just wishful thinking?

I think Hillsborough should quite correctly be off limits for having a go at Liverpool fans, afterall the died through no fault of their own and were later lied about by the Scum.

It pisses me off though when Heysel is placed on a level with it, as if it was a tragedy for Liverpool. It should be taboo to use it against Juventus fans but it's not to bring it up with the dippers.

In a nutshell - some form of compensation for the families of the people who died. South Yorkshire Police were found to be at fault. Too many fans allowed into too small an area which caused the crush. Incompetent security and stewarding arrangements led to 96 people dying. Several police officers on duty that day have received large compensation payouts for the psychological trauma they experienced. This kind of rankles with the families of the victims.

Why the f**k would you want to use the death of any football fans unless you're a sad bast**d?

why would you want to use vicious paki bashing and connections with dodgy loyalist groups to take the piss out of Chelsea fans?

I'd have more respect for Liverpool fans if they said 'oh fuck off, it could have happened to any team and I'm hardly responsible for the action of every liverpool fan ever', but no we are treated to moral indignation as if people are mocking liverpools very own tragedy, get fucked!

Boris Johnson was right 'self pity city' indeed.

Where have I said it was liverpool's tragedy?.

A lot of people lost their lives and you're just using it to score points, I'd say you were a c**t no matter if liverpool were involved or not..

okay well maybe you don't but I take absolutely no objection to people taking the piss out of Chelsea fans for being paki bashing loyalist thugs with a firm that used the SS death skull.

Oh fuck off, people use all sorts of things to score points, from unemployment, incest, to dodgy racist links, it doesn't mean they are disrepected the dead.

What about giving players stick for being racists, thugs or whatever, is that using the suffering of the victims to score points?

The fact is it was cunty Liverpool that were involved in it, yet every English club gets banned and in the end Liverpool don't even have to serve out all their ban, then Liverpool fans get on the moral fucking high horse when people crack jokes about winning trophies without killing anyone.

No, it's just you, because you're an attention-seeking little c**t.

really, it's just me?

so no one has ever cracked a comment about it to you?

no one ever takes the piss out of teams for being sheep shaggers, having incest (the Nevilles perchance?), being racists?

And if i'm just attention seeking why don't you fuck up and stop biting?

Because you're so pathetic it's funny, and I'm bored. I'll leave the thread now and let it get back to the borefest that will be tomorrows FA cup final.

borefest?

says the cunt who supports Wimbledon in disguise!

I really hope Milan kill you bunch of dispicable cunts, like to think youse are a good football team who deserve to be where youse are in Europe when youse can't even get within twenty points of the league winners or win the fucking league in 17 years!

If we start spending £30 million on defenders and £30 million on strikers we might. I think 1 (maybe 2) European Cup(s), a Uefa Cup, 2 FA Cups and 2 League Cups in the last 6 years is pretty decent for a team who's record signing cost £14 million.

This is a major event in our sporting history as we reopen the world's most famous stadium, and who do they get to be guest of honour? Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst, Ricky Villa, Bobby Robson, Tony Adams (record holder for most Wembley appearences)? No they get some no-mark "royal" who's got fuck all to do with football.
