The FA Cup fifth round thread

I saw this in my local pool hall on Wednesday night and thought it might come in useful.

At least he's got to one final this year. :D

Revol - Did many people think you were a tad odd for taking a photo of the chalk board with your mobile?

I thought that so I waited till me and my mates got on the table right beside it and the bar was empty.

That was the same night I took Everton through till the quarter finals of a Pro Evo tournament only to be beaten in the last minute of extra time by AC Milan, I knocked out Barcelona on the way. :D

As far as I see it Benitez has now two choices:

Should he book tomorrow's flight, or bear the humiliation for one more day and save himself 83 quid?

As the Radio Cov & Warks commentator said, the great thing about Liverpool getting turned over is the total debacle at the Ricoh might not be the main match on MotD tonight.
:(:(:(

Why would they want him? Under Schuster they are battering everyone, Beneathus would be a retrograde step.

what a fucking retarded thing to say.

Clearly no one is really interested in the two top teams in the land going head to head in a knock out tournament.

This fucking romantic hard on people have for the non big teams is a right laugh, seems like it involves having your cake and bleating about it, getting all the kudos of supporting 'a real team' (ie shite) and then whinging about said team not getting the same coverage of a bigger team.

I didn't say nobody would be interested in it, just that it continues to emphasise the idea that they're the "most important" teams. Part of the beauty of the Cup is you get matches you don't get elsewhere, whereas these two teams play each other twice a season anyway. Plus they'd rather be playing in Dubai/Seoul/Singapore/Basra (delete as applicable) than in a competition that not so long ago Manchester United didn't deem important enough to defend at all.

Also, I haven't made any allusions to supporting a "real team" as you put it. I'm not sure I even place myself as a fan of a particular team anymore, but of the game as a whole.
