I used to do some bodybuilding and I can personally attest that when you stop working out it all goes to flab. I bet Arnie has some serious DD man-tits.

Stallone looks solid, but it wouldn't happen without the wonder of modern chemistry.

A lot of the old boys looked pretty fit; even Dolph Lundgren, although he sort of looked like maybe he's been hitting the pipe a little too often.
 
To watch this movie you have to remove your brain first and expect the worse. It's pretty much just about a bunch of guys going around kicking ass, spraying bullets and blowing up stuff. The plot could have been written on the back of a matchbox. Ex CIA agent supporting a third world dictator. Yeah, that's original.

Like someone said, a movie to watch late at night when there is nothing else to watch. A Team was more fun.
 
a film that is actually less than sum of its parts. There is the bit at the start with arnie and sly that would be funny if arnie wasn't a republican fucknut.

It's supposed to be a homage/pastiche whatever to the sort of eifhties big budget actin film but nobody is trying at all. Except him out of dexter who plays the dictator of the banana republic.

Hobo With a Shotgun is much better and has Rutger Hauer
 
Plus I like Jet Li....but he can't do comedy. And The Stath is just not charismatic enough to be the 'action' star he is meant to be. I can't help finding Mickey Rourke strangely attractive though *wriggles uncomfortably*
 
I want it to be an everlasting franchise. I want to see The Expendables 8: The Killer Nursing Home
 
expendables 2 is indeed in the pipeline but Sly has promised to neither write nor direct it so might be less shit
 
you cant be disappointed by it

it does what is says it does

a bunch of over the hill movie stars make a film reprising their former roles albeit also over the hill
it involves guns and explosions and a predicatable ending.

no surprises
no cerebral activity required

I'm always amazed that people who want "art" go to movies like this and then say "well, it was shite." It's an action movie. You don't expect thoughtful treatises on the human condition. You expect explosions and dead bad guys.
 
I wasn't expecting high art I was expecting a good action film- like a die hard 2 or a Con Air. This was just rubbish.
 
Delete once downloaded if on torrents, take the hit and run, you dont want to be uploading this after the hassle some people got over the past ones being leaked!
