Noooooooooooo, not at all - scouse house is slower, more funky, more musical, piano breakdowns, basically the kind of stuff they played in the late 90's at poky little clubs in Liverpool like Garland's. Ahhh, those were the days......

The same totally unpretentious and ludicrously happy silly vibe though.

I'm afraid current day scouse house is very closely related to bounce (which in this form is more of a Wigan/Bolton thing admittedly) - it's all hard house beats, dissonant donky basslines and excreble belted/bootlegged vocals.
