Yeah. It's taken seriously over there* (for women). I'm going to have to use google to find out about all the other countries aren't I? /lazy While I'm at it I might as well google loads of other stuff about women's footie over here. Which time was it that scrapped their women's after the men were shit? Some of those women were on the england team (dunno about now).

Charlton but they then un-scrapped them but with reduced finacial support , there is a thread about it !

Strangely some of the people who moaned about that haven't even been on a thread supporting the England womens team ! Out of the US team at this World Cup only about 5 play for club teams , the rest are purely proffesional with the national team !

Good final that. The Brazilians sure seemed to be a bit more up on 'sportsmanship' and their skills were a treat to watch, but the Germans were well solid and deserved the win.

I enjoyed that.

Yes, they were saying that the Brazilian manager delayed her spot kick by making a substitution while she was waiting to take it. I didn't notice myself, as I was behind the sofa. Seems like a very silly decision. With hindsight.

I'll definitely watch the ladies some more. The competition was a credit to the game.

I'm watching the England match in a minute. Looking forward to it actually, as it might be refreshing to see non-egotistical wankers wearing the three lions.

Would be refreshing not to hear the same old boring cliches used about the mens team too.

Never thought i'd hear those terms in reference to womens football. .I enjoyed this world cup and would definitely watch again.
Think its done wonders for the womens game. What it lacks in quality it more than makes up for in entertainment, great to see and had me constantly on the edge of my seat.

I tell you what though that Brazilians goal against the US the other day in the semis would grace any football pitch. Absolute class.
