i was there. was fun, bit quiet though.

sneak has been rubbish the last few times i've seen him. his DJing has really suffered from switching to cds in my opinion. that chicago, mixing by the seat of your pants style does not translate well to cds, he is much more boring than he used to be.

yeah it was quiet wasn't it, which was quite nice as it goes for a sunday morning. it was heaving when Carter played there in Feb.

hopefully Sneak isn't too much of a train wreck.

Makes me feel old....remembering it opening.......and Richard-Mr C from the Shamen being involved...wonder what he is doig now as the website makes no mention of him. Loved the stairs ....sort of going underground vibe. And it cant be that bad coz my son goes there...suppose the next thing will be a reunion in years ahead.

He's still involved, moved on a bit though. Spends a lot of time playing abroad I believe.

Best club in London. i think it was time to go though. It's still kicking, I would have hated to see the end in another 5-10 years. That would have been more depressing.

Not been to The End for years, probably had some good times there. Might see if there's anything I fancy coming up.

Its a very friendly place without the pissed up tourists that you get at F****C, it defo had the dirty undergorund feel and even though it was quite small it could still kick off...... Its a place that never really sold out, still kept it presence... just a shame the chillout area was so small

Its that sound system, water fountain by the loos and those little shelfs in the cubical that made it stand out.

Never really got the right music to make me want to go. They should have some classic, 'Fuck your ears' specialist nights before they close. That sound system deserves to be ragged to death. I bet it could make the building shake if they didn't give a fuck.

Genuine question, i've never understood night club hyperbole - what is it that really varies from the 'go to a place with a large soundsytem playing music you like' formula?

I like the dirty little squathole venues like SE1 and jacks etc......
