The end is nigh...

I got all excited over a new kitchen. Makes me feel quite sick when I think of that.
A fukn kitchen???

(It's bloody lush though...:o)

Happy big grown up boy type stuff, Kanda!

I've started looking at places to buy.. initially I was: oh thats really well done up, that looks great etc etc.. (Just move in, job done, no effort etc)

Now though, it's all fucking changed and it's a bit weird! (those that know me will vouch for this!!)

I've started to look at cheaper places in need of renovation and have read up so far this week on:

Making raised grow beds for the garden
Colours for the nursery
Laying laminate floor
Damp proofing basements
How to lay a patio

What the FUCK?? Is there some middle age gene that suddenly kicks in or something??

Blimey...

I can't believe you haven't mentioned in that list of sad fucking stuff that you are going the the IDEAL HOME EXHIBITION this weekend.

The day you're a dad is the day I get the foal christened

I can't imagine ever doing up something myself - if I ever buy, everything will be fitted and decorated already and I will be able to afford to pay someone to fix things.

It's not all bad!

Dunno about that there London, though, but I doubt very much that the market's anywhere near bottoming out round here. I think people are still flying kites in the hope of a gullible buyer. I reckon there's lots more dropping to be done yet - I'd buy on the upside of the curve, if anything.

Raised beds are easy - although back hurts afterwards if you have to sift rocks out of your garden bed, like we did....

The Ideal Home Show, however, is just freakish....

I don't want to buy any powertools - why would I want to do that?
I don't even know what a powertool is TBH - is that like electric drills n shit?

Just to clarify.. tongue and groove proper wood.

Comparing the two though, cost wise... geezus

Yeh it is a lot more, but I hate my laminate. At least with solid wood laminate you can sand it back to if it gets scratched.

You're going to The Ideal Home Show?! Check out the Bose stand me and my ex loved all the gadgets tbh.

You know where to come if you need a builder ;)

I had a dream last night that I was having my driveway repaved and I said to someone 'I'm going to ask Kanda to do it, he's really good at laying setts'

:(
