How long do you think it'll take to turn my collection into mp3's and then stick em' on an iPod?
Well with a library of that scale i dont think it would be worth re-recording as a digital format..
But if you really wantted..
I reckon there is around 4000 records there in that photo..
so lets say they are all albums at 50 minutes a piece..
50x4000= 200,000 minutes of real time audio..
So there are 1440 minutes in a 24 hour day..
200,000 divided by 1440 = 138.888888888888888888888888889
lets call it 139. days (thats 24 hours a day)
So times it by 2 to make a 12 hour day..
Thats 139 x 2 = 278 twelve hour days..
So it would be around 9 to 10 months of solid 12 hour days not allowing for tea breaks.. just continously recording analog signals into a digital format..
Transferring it all onto ipod would take say half that time lets say 5 months..
So lets call it 10 months for real time audio transfer..
5 months for recording onto your i-pod (or Pods)
1 month extra time for tea breaks..
= 16 months.. 1 year 4 months... maybe
