Poor thing. Hope she feels better soon
Poor Biscuit. And you dealing with it. Hopefully once it's all cleared up she'll be so relieved she goes back to going outside and not inside easily.
Poor Biscuit. How was your night?
At 3am, I checked her. The two puppy pads were untouched, and there was a lake of piss by the dishwasher.
At 05:15 she was clearly going batshit. Puppy pads untouched, turd by the dishwasher.
Crated her until 06:30, when we went for a walk.
She’s acting fine, just can’t piss properly.
Aww poor little Biscuit
Hope she recovers asap. Sounds like you're doing everything you can and giving her lots of love and care mrs quoad, good on you
My mum's dog Poppy wearing her new bespoke outdoor coat
(So she's visible in woods and undergrowth and her coat doesn't get dirty and matted - she does get incredibly filthy tbf)
She doesn't look please with it.
I've a good mind to call the RSPCA
It was my sister that bought it. She takes her black lab and Poppy for a long countryside walk every day. Poppy does get muddy as fuck and does disappear into bushes on sniffing odysseys tbf.
But yeah, I agree
(( Biscuit's bladder))
(( mrs quoad 's sleep patterns))
Hope the antibiotics/ treatment can kick in v soon, cystitis is no fun at all for mammals...
Poppy's coat is brilliant and she looks great in it, but did it have to be Gitmo orange?
I think part of the problem has been that she’s too damned good at crossing her legs. Eg, on a trip to Whitby, despite repeatedly being set down, she wouldn’t wee until we were home. 4-5 hours, overall? Likewise, she’ll hold herself overnight, which is great for us but it now leaves me thinking that we should be leaving her water out later, and giving her more very late night (please god not 2am!) wee breaks.
If you're feeding Biscuit dry food it really does make them drink lots of water. It's worth timing access to water and feeding times to minimize pooing and weeing at night. I've had similar problems with Ruby - tiny bladder etc.
Biscuit is going to be massive soon and will have a bladder like a beer keg, and it sounds like she's able to hold on for ages if she wants to, and if you manage intake and output timings I'm sure everything will be fine
My dog takes great delight in rolling in mud if I put his coat on. But he shivers without it
She looks like a very furry little felon.
First vomit today. She looked very surprised.
Do I feed her more now or just wait until the next meal?
Most of the labs I've known have been horrible chewers. A friend of mine used to buy tv remotes by the half-dozen box.
Hope she is better soon.
First time Biscuit vomited, that was her next meal
mrs quoad - how about plenty of old newpapers and / or old towels as pee collectors ?
Feel very sorry for Biscuit, cystitis is 'orrible.
Hope that the anti- stuff gets to work pdq and the two of you gets some sleep ...
tbh, that sounds like a world more faff than just mopping up her puddles of piss when they arrive!
Your mums dog looks like she belongs in Guantanamo Bay.
Gosh y'know I had. Amazing what the mind blocks out.
So sorry to hear about Biscuit mrs quoad. This may sound daft but how about a litter tray as a temporary measure ? An empty one, pop her in it if she looks like she's going to wee ?
E2a and then just leave her cage open so she can access it ?
Her new bed seems to have sprung a leak
How's it going mrs quoad ?
Today was Twiglet's first french bulldog style sulking refusal. She was wet, muddy, and cold. She just decided that was enough and sat down and refused to move.
I had to carry her in the end.
after receiving litterally hundreds of PM's of support, i haz moar photo's...
balls of fluff...
Ruby waiting for me outside the chippy
She's well ace.
She is indeed
^ OMG I'd worry about leaving her outside - not 'cos it's cruel (which it isn't) but for fear someone would dognap her!
Great stance ... well deserving of a couple of gravy-sodden chips or a chunk of fish IMO...
