well, my first game of the season was a thriller. tho i might be lying.

my last visit (hurrah) to the earth stadium saw a really quite dull 0-0. As we had 9 new players the first half was spent with me trying to work out who was who - fortunately there is a big bald bloke (Kev Ellison) who is quite noticeable and a short arse (Chris Shuker) who is likewise. both played really well as well, and we were definitely the nbetter team in the first half.

No killer instinct tho, only a couple of half chances on goal and neither really loked like being converted. Still, none conceded either, so that's only one in three matches - not too bad. Home to Yeovil on Saturday, should stick them fuckers.

Didn't realise til i read in the programme on saturday that Lee Trundle is the only player outside the Premiership to have an image rights deal. Is he even aware anymore that he's still playing in the third division? Or has he actually deluded himself that since he's going out with her out of atomic kitten so he must be a top-flight superstar?

carlisle have had an indifferent start to the season. The O' are away to them this saturday. yeovil beat them last week, and I fancy yeovil to do well this season. Can anyone tell me if carlisle are a potential banana skin team (the type that loses some and thrashes others).

Would have thought they'll give the O's a stiff test. Not lost that much on last year in terms of players and finished quite away ahead of you irc.

*last night I dreamt Paul Simpson had resigned at Preston to come and take over Blackpool.

Is that dream a sweet dream or a nightmare in disguise?
As long as your dream don't have cameos from martin ling, gary alexander or lee steele then all is right with the world.

It would be lovely. Simmo was a hero at Blackpool for a couple of years, in fact he turned down the opportunity to leave Carlisle for us the year they went down to the conference. We'd never have had Colin Hendry. The dirty Knob Enders now have both Simmo and Brett Ormerod:(

Sadly, like the time I very vividly dreamt we beat Villa in the 2001 FA Cup final it's not true.

Ahoy! We've just signed Andy Morrell on a free from Coventry City. Well chuffed, proven lower league scorer, popular with Wrexham and Cov fans and what's more, not a loan signing.

Onwards and upwards!

For muser...

And for you all...

I quite fancy us to get something from Ashton Gate tomorrow. Definately will lose 4-0 then...

Thank you tangerine. I didn't know lockwood was that good, was he a striker one season?!? 341 games and 45 goals for a defender doesn't sound right. He is right, when he says, we got goals in us (he should know).
I was thinking about getting that conference league football tv online, does anyone have it, is it reliable. Obviously I will get to see a game or two (as soon as I get a job)

nice bit of lower league knowledge there

(*tangerinedream posting*)

Ya big meanie! - E2a - I've just realised muser's mistake.... Oh deary me..., your not a meanie...

By the way, it finished Bristol City 2-4 Blackpool. That's a 4-2 win for the away team. Who were Blackpool. (who incedently beat Bristol City 4-2 in their last game)

:)

If we'd lost today, it would have been our worst start for 106 years! Luckily we won 4-2.:)

Hope tottenham enjoyed their first game in their new stadium

Neither did I till muser pointed it out, bloody third rate boxing promoters playthings that they are;) :D

Cracking win for City 3-0 at Crewe yestarday. We played them off the park! Our second goal was like a league 1 version of the Argentina goal in the world cup! 3 wins out of 4 and we were unlucky to lose to Forest. Scoring goals and playing well! This could be our season!

Drew 1-1 with Gillingham, Wes Hoolahan is the best player we've had for about 4 years and Scott Vernon is fixed after a year of being being broken:)

Keigan Parker needs hitting with a big brick or something and I lost my rag with hm today bigtime.

We were more than deserving of the win.
