No, but I wont slag off and dismiss a film I haven't seen or try and tell someone who has seen it that the film's no good. That is ignorant and arrogant.

The reviews have been universally so bad (even from the Aussie media) I think I can get a pretty good idea of the quality of the film...
I'd usually agree with you that only an idiot would judge something without experiencing it but in this case the movie in question appears to have every ingredient I personally detest in a film so I'm steering well clear. What a waste of Aussie taxpayers' money. An own goal by all accounts.
has gabi slagged it off? I saw him simply make it clear he had no interest in it, and doubted it would be any good.
Surely that's reasonable. Perhaps he's seen Luhrmann's other movies, perhaps he's concluded from the cast, the story, the trailer, that it's not his cup of tea.
None of which strikes me as very harsh.

Hello, I have seen the film, and I liked it. This bloke has also seen it and is entitled to his view. You have not seen it. Fair enough you post your review, but I made up my own mind with what I saw with my own eyes. I am merely encouraging you to do the same.
it was the only film I saw this yearSurprised at the popularity of Juno. I thought it was a very dishonest film. Guess some of you got swept along in the hype

Yes derail over. But just for clarification, are you saying people voting on teh Urban Film of the Year thread make their votes based on reviews they read for the films????? I don't think so.
