i havent seen it yet, cinema turns out to be too crap anything that isnt rattito (sp) Hmph. I *hate* owen wilson but i still expect it to be good

tbh your description makes this film sound terrible. I've been invited to go see it tomorrow and I'm going to have to turn it down.

I wonder how much of poverty stricken dirty Indian towns and villages are in this movie?

Hummmm........

Actually, it gave quite a varied portrayal of Indian society including the poverty but what I liked about the film was that it wasn't concerned with making particular points about India for the benefit of western viewers who have never been there ( me included.)

It was slow moving, funny in places. It was just a film with people doing things both significant and insignificant to them, in beautiful surroundings.

Worked for me.

Four people walked out halfway through though
