I really appreciate the earlier goth-rock stuff more, but they had to move on from that. Everyone did. The Cure, Siouxsie, The Sisters... They all moved on to a different sound post-'85 or so. Cure got brighter, Siouxsie did some interesting things and christ only knows what Andrew Eldritch was doing. (I like later Sisters, but I don't like-like it)
They were a competent rock band after that. Couple of banging hits, but I wouldn't listen to the whole album the way I would with Dreamtime or Love.
