The Come On Liverpool Let's Do Em Again Thread

Should also point out that the manager wasn't responsible for most of the outgoings on transfers at chelsea this season.

out of his hands. he left a very expensive centre back on the bench tonight as he doesnt rate him....

im outta this one now coz as i say, im no chelsea fan ;) just have a grudging respect for jose.. he does seem to stick up for his players, which is more than can be said for a few prem managers i can think of...

Sticking up for your players is one thing, but being blind to some of the toss pots you house is another;)

I used to detest fergie till maureen came along.....old red nose can have his 9 wins, he deserves them mate..;)

Indeed he does... best manager in the world, over the years hes been in the biz anyway.

Bring on athens....:D Will be very tasty. I bet those greek coppers are currently in a crisis meeting.

I hope jose one day takes over at united actually - once hes grown up a bit. He's still a child in manager terms, but hes got the right amount of erm, 'cuntitude' to fill sir alex's boots...

I think you'll find this is a place for European Cup speak.

But........if you insist.... 18 times is still a record last time I looked. Next season = serious ££££ input to match Utd and Chavs. Maybe even a tidy striker for once. Enjoy.................

Typical Manc attitude. Exactly the sort of talk that has me rooting for Milan tomorrow. Roma are worse than Milan and they beat you 2-1 at home.

he did actually have a very good point when he said last week that liverpool have only had to play four games of any note all season. chelsea have been challenging for all titles all season. liverpool seem set on the champs league and thats it, which is kinda, well shit really..? winning the premiership is still the mark of a truly great team.

a cup is potentially the mark of a lucky team..
This highlights just what's wrong with the whole Champions (ha!) League set up. A team that finishes 4th, or even 3rd, in their league should never be allowed into it. It makes the competition a bit of a joke (I'm totally in favour of Platini's idea to get smaller countries teams more involved). Teams like Liverpool, who have next to no chance of winning their domestic league, get into it and can plan their season around it, whereas the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd, who genuinely try to win every competition (rather than just paying it lip service) are duty bound to compete on all fronts. It shouldn't surprise anyone if Liverpool win the Champs League again this year because they've been playing for little else since February. Mind you, neither have Milan, who if they can get past Utd have a score to settle with Liverpool....

But UEFA just want a money spinner...it's nothing to do with 'champions' and hasn't been for a while. The killer for me was when they introduced the second league phase then realised what a shit idea it was.

Platini's got a lot of good ideas, but he'll come up against massive opposition.

It would be better for the top 2 to be in the CL, 3rd place goes into a play-off but there's just too many entrenched interests within the G14.

I really, really wanted LFC to win - but I do find some of the fans that phone into radio shows are insufferably smug all the time :D

Much as it pains me to say it..

well done Liverp**l

a deserved win, shouldn't have needed penos Kuyt looked level to me.

Fucking brilliant!!! Well done Liverpool. I fancy a repeat of the 2005 final, but this time no three goal start. And then we can go on to win the Premiership next season. And to all those whining about it not being a 'Champions' league final, go fuck yourselves you sad cunts. :D

As a utd fan...hate the pool though galls me to say it wanted them to beat the scum from London last night....chuffed to f*ck to see that arrogant tw*t make a dick of himself yet again.....said it all season Chelsea are too 1 dimensional...creativity is woeful and save the Valencia game can't think of any other games where they have looked like worthy winners of anything.

Still the biggy is tonight....really not sure, a lot of me says Utd will sneak it though could so easily go tits up....hey ho not fussed now....enjoying baiting chelsea fans....strangely quiet....w*nkers :D

Love it, listening to all the chelski whingers in the office today, we should have won in extra time but justice was done in the end. Mourinho is just a long ball merchant, no spirit amonst his money-grabbing players.

Hope the scum lose tonight, that would be perfect.

You're right about the lack of spirit, you only have to compare the expressions of the Man Utd squad and the Chelsea one this season. They don't look like a team at all, just a bunch of atomised stars crippled by a one dimensional manager, a band of mercenaries.

I'm glad you want Man Utd to lose tonight, shows youse are shitting it about facing John 'the hitman' O'Shea in the final!

As it was I was favouring a Liverpool win last night, but then again Man United have fuck all to fear about facing the dippers.

:(

Well done Liverpool. Not that you played particularly great either (must have been painful for a neutral), however, Chelsea most certainly didn't deserve to win playing that kind of crap yesterday so best not to go out playing like that in the final. The thing I'm most gutted about this morning is that our performance didn't warrant a place in the final. Actually, the thing I'm truly gutted about is the fact that I broke my TV by lobbing a lighter at it when Liverpool's goal went in. Bastard LCD screen now has a massive pattern of technicolour stripes running down the middle.

The fact that my biggest cheer of the night was seeing Kuyt flagged for offside pretty much sums it up.

That's football, I guess. If you're committed to a team you've got to accept the shit moments...At least I don't have to face the dilemna of speaking to my wanker dad about going to the final.

No, actually I was hoping for a re-run of Istanbul, two teams with a good European pedigree.

I wouldn't mind Utd in the final, there wasn't a peek out of them at anfield, even scholes lost the plot and got sent off.

need I remind you that this won't be at Anfield and youse got torn to shreds at Old Trafford, I remember being in an london Oirish pub full of dippers when Rio scored his classic, loved it.

as for Scholes well if he was going to get sent off he should have atleast smacked the cunt proper.

and Saha had his legs swept from under him in the box too.

"dippers", "Oirish" The wit!.

Is it not an Anfield then? :D

No, it really was an Oirish bar, there wasn't meant to be anything witty about it.

And poor grammar and typos are registered trademarks of revol68.

I note you have nothing to say about the beating we handed youse at Old Trafford or the Saha penalty?

That's a good job then - because there wasn't. :D

I would say the more recent match is more relevant, wouldn't you?.

Well not really but if you want, no odds, we still won and even though youse were at home (with the oh so special 12th man of the Kop) created very little yourselves. I'd be happy to see us lift the cup in Athens through a John O'Shea special!

What about Saha's penalty?

Do you think you deserved to win that? :D

Boo hoo hoo. :(

Anyway, I don't want this thread to get filled up with your tedious crap, so I'll leave you to it.

yes, we won it fairly with 10 men and had a stonewall penalty denied, wasn't like youse made much yourselves and at the end of the day youse fucked up and John O'Shea scored infront of the Kop.

its interesting how people always do a tournament down when their team isn't in it.

I want Milan to win today so we can beat them in open play this time round.
