Stoke are actually playing flowing football under Boskamp and although there will be blips along the way [Watford was never a 3-0 1] I think we will be there or thereabouts !!

What the hell happened ? All of a sudden we are crap again ! Jeez I wish I'd never become a footy fan !! :(

My prediction is that Stoke will be looking for a new manager about February time, 2006 that is ! Yet another season of 'consolidation' to follow !

Judging by last nights performance we [Stoke City] could be a darkhorse this year, especially now we've got Gallagher in from Blackburn to back up Sidibe and the two strikers who are due to sign, one pending work permit appeals {Sambegou Bangoura from Standard Liege} Lee Chadwick is playing out of his socks for us as well !!

Up the Rip Roaring Multi-Cultural Potters _ Johan Boskamps barmy army!!

:D
:D

we've got Coventry on Saturday - anyone been to their new stadium yet? I've heard the ground is pretty far from the station/centre of town...

Re-reading this thread just now was interesting, particularly:

You can't see any of the teams near the top being able to survive the premiershite

Well this league must be shit when we have the top of the table clash this weekend...Watford vs Sheff Utd! What the hell's goin on?!
Interesting that the quality of the Championship is always being called into question - people often can't see beyond the money, size and power of the 'big' clubs. However, look at the prem table now - ex-Championship teams and relegation favourites Wigan (3rd) and West Ham (9th) are doing pretty well, whilst big clubs like Everton, Aston Villa and Liverpool are floundering. There's a lot to be said for teams having a little belief, taking a positive attitude and playing attacking football - this is what'll get you far in the Prem I reckon. It's also what Luton have done this season in the Championship - we were 5th faves for relegation at the start of the season, and we're now sitting pretty in third having comprehensively beaten all the teams that came down from the prem last year.

I'm just finding it very difficult to think of any teams in this division who might actually be able to give us a game!
See point above ;)

I didn´t want to open up a new thread as I´m doing a little bit of spamming ;)

The Championship and League 1 forum on the xtratime board is lacking members. It seems that the lower leagues aren´t that interesting for many people ;)
So I thought I could make a little ad in here and maybe someone wants to drop over... www.xtratime.com

btw, are there any QPR fans here? I´m hoping for a win at Derby tomorrow. But I predict a draw... maybe 2-2.

I'm a QPR fan. How many people have we had sent off this season? We must have had more than anyone else in the country by now.

Hey, good to see another QPR fan on that board here. :)

Yeah, with 4 red cards we´re good at it. Shame on us... Maybe you´d like to have a visit at our QPR thread on the Xtratime board. QPR thread

Watford 3-1 QPR

Could have been our way up into the promotion zone yesterday. But Watford were better, sad but true. We aren´t that good without Nygaard, Cook and Furlong in the starting 11.

It´s going to be a tough match against Reading on Saturday as well. Come you R´sss!

Not often I'd say this, but well done to Burnley, winning 3-2 away at Luton, with an outfield player (John Spicer) in goals for about an hour of the match!

We [Stoke] lose 6 out of 7 then win two on the trot and are , on points at least , joint 4th  talk about an open league !!

Damn those proto brummies with their 11-men-between-ball-and-goal tactics! No goals or victories now since the 6-1 spanking of Crewe, who ironically have come good since that watershed. We need Jerome and Ricketts to start banging them in again, and fast.

I just find it hilarious that L**ds are closer to the relegation spots than they are to the autopatic positions!

'kinell....how good is Tom Huddlestone  Not surprised Wolves couldn't get him on a longer loan, he's easily going to start for Spurs soon. A flippin' 19 year old who can boss a midfield, and his passing was just beautiful.

Reminded me of Pep Guardiola with his ability to sit back and then just find the perfect pass to get a team attacking.
