Cheers ;)

Is this the only championship thread on the go? (Couldn't see another one...)

i think we need a mod to change it to Championship thread :)

if they would kindly

p.s if you turned the leauge upside down we would be top :D

that would be great - then I'll be able to spend all day on here gloating about our excellent start to the season and how we're 2nd in the table! :p

To be honest, I didn't think Southampton looked that good last night. They were certainly more of an opposition than Palace on Saturday though - they didn't give the ball away so much, the midfield was quite tough, and Niemi had an excellent game (despite conceding three!) They seemed to have more strength across the team, whereas Palace often seemed to rely on hoofing it up to Johnson. From what I've seen, I'd rather be Harry R than Iain D....

lost at QPR. Although sounds like it might have heralded the beginning of the end for the world's most pedestrian midfield. Give it a little while and our midfield could be mostly teenagers. Good thing, given the youth cup winners pedigree...

Hi all,

It pains me to say I can't help but be impressed by Luton and Mike Newall. Again playing the full 90mins to gain the points.

If games where only 85mins long I understand they would not have been promoted as champions.

Up The Tigers

See Leeds are about to sign Richard Creswell - in addition to ex-North Enders Gregan, Lewis and Healy.

Why not they just call themselves PNE reserves and have done with it?!

Will Billy get the money to spend or did you overstretch last year? I think Leeds are making a bit much out of signing Cresswell, who let's face it 18 months ago wasn't worth £1.25.

EDIT - how on earth is Simon Lynch scoring goals in Scotland

1 win, 2 draws, 1 loss... we're looking a lot better than last year though, and can score. Promotion through the play-offs for the Foxes.

Ipswich have two wins, played superbly against Wednesday at the weekend. The youngster Macdonald ran his heart out and the squad looked sharp.

What made it better was that the scum lost at Southampton!!!!

LOVELY!!!

Mark.

Our board are dead miserly - but they will come under massive pressure to spend - I'd rather go for a left winger than another striker (as long as we can hold on to Dave Nugent). OK our crowds have been a bit on the low side so far this season - but we must have made a bob or two on the playoff final. And we haven't spent big/

As for Cressie - I'm happy to see the back of him. He's hard working, no doubt about that. But he has the knack of 'almost' being in the right place, without actually being there. Very difficult to play alongside too. When him and Healy played together they averaged 1 goal every 4 games :o

say something about Scottish defending? Maybe its a confidence thing. Our fans never really took to him and he never got many first team games.
What did you reckon to him at your place?

Your board are miserly! Bloody hell, there isn't a word for ours then!

Suppose you've already got Dichio in haven't you so your ok for a direct replacement

Lynch can be summed up by the following words in any combination. Useless, flimsy, anonymous, impotent. Basically crap.

Do you reckon your left back, armstrong? will be allowed to go, either on loan or permanent? I believe we have watched him. (he's been out injured?)

He's been out injured over a year I think but has just recovered (played in our last cup match)

Possibility of him goin out on loan to get fitness up but I'd be suprised if we sold him (he's one of those "next best thing" type players when we bought him)

a loan would be ok, our left back (Gareth Evans) is class, but injured and boy, do we miss him. I just want some players who know what the lower leagues are about not 18 yr olds from prem academies.

Do you know the player?

Shearer has come back twice hasn't he?
From what I've heard he seems to be doin fine and has played a first team match for us. Everyone wants him back in the team at left back

Its like a dream seeng the Hatters 3 up from the top of the table, above clubs like Leeds and of course clubs like Watford :p And Milwall at the bottom :D
