In the Light heavies, a good win for Ken Egan of Ireland, but against pretty poor opposition. Also, the Uzbek Atoev was well beaten by Kurbanov of Tajikistan, which was a shock as Atoev was the world silver medallist and one of the favourites.
In the Middleweight division, James DeGale won for Britain. The Cuban looked very good in his fight.
