Atta boy, live dangerously. This is on tonight. I've never seen it<snip>I've never seen Matt Damon in anything, and I'll try anything once, so I'm going to give it a go.
The dialogue's not up to much, but then again it hardly ever is in action films.Already seen it more than twice, and the sequels, I can take or leave seeing it again. It's a great film.
Ah, if I'd seen this post earlier I wouldn't have bothered.I love the trilogy, great action film. Not quite Die Hard or Lethal Weapon but pretty close.
This is on tonight. I've never seen it. But a friend recommended it to me recently, likening it to North By Northwest. I'm unconvinced. It really doesn't look like my sort of thing. But I've never seen Matt Damon in anything, and I'll try anything once, so I'm going to give it a go.

Well, that's enough of that. It's preposterous and shit.

Yes but what about the special effects... and the fight choreography...? Come to think of it, both of those are much better in other films. As you were.Well, that's enough of that. It's preposterous and shit.
I wouldn't watch a film especially for fight choreography anyway. Those are the bits I go and make a cup of tea during. And by special effects, do you mean things blowing up for no good reason? Meh.Yes but what about the special effects... and the fight choreography...? Come to think of it, both of those are much better in other films. As you were.
IMHO few action films are worth watching if the fight choreography is as bad as the credibility of the plot. As for special effects - whenever a yellow billowy cloud is supposed to be an explosion not caused by petrol, it's so unconvincing that it's distracting.I wouldn't watch a film especially for fight choreography anyway. In my experience, this is the case. In fact, I've never come across a film described as an "action film" that I've thought worth watching (though I keep an open mind. There may be one out there). The "genre" just doesn't interest me. However, a friend particularly recommended this one to me. (During a conversation in which she suggested setting up a film club. I am now disinclined to join it).IMHO few action films are worth watching
Mindless entertainment - just let it wash over you. FWIW if ever stuck watching television or films in a country where you don't speak the language, action films, slapstick, porn, or westerns are the way to go - all of them are easy to follow even without understanding a word.In my experience, this is the case. Yes, but it falls down on the second part.Mindless entertainment
