The Binary crop circle challenge. Wanna earn 5 grand?

But isnt the way the corn is bent down to the ground quite impossible to re-create using available tools? Its kind of burnt at the base and folded over without snapping :hmm:

I've never seen it 'burnt' but it's very uniformly bent over with sharply defined edges to the patterns.

only if you are mental alternatively you can use decent garden rollers which are water filled or the older more precise plank sting and two people method... either way there's no burning except maybe where we'v ehave a spliff or two whilst doing it...

yes, there are certain anomalies that are very difficult to recreate without certain equiptment. Super heated stems, which burst on the bend instead of just fold, and tiny little spheres of metal. You don't have to be mental to look at the evidence. The discovery channel tried to recreate a quite simple pattern with the same features. They got the burnt stalks, but failed on the balls. They tried using some microwave/flame thrower to spit out iron filings. But this sort of thing isn't reall available to the "Dougs and Daves" of the world.

e2a notice the dot to the right of 'start'. very clever, but are we supposed to believe aliens have that sort of whimsical humour?

I don't find it particularly "clever" at all. Just a way of making a pretty pattern.

If it were an alien method of notating numbers, you'd think they would have found a more tidy way of indicating a decimal point and in any case it's quite a coincidence that they use exactly the same symbol for a decimal point as us. And perhaps also a bit of a coincidence that they happen to use base 10 for their number system.

And, it must be very tedious for them to write out all their sums using such a crappy notation system.

Don't these "crop circles" pop up regularly at the same locations? Could have to do something with (now) underground structures of civilisations not yet discovered.
Now that would be interesting.

salaam.
