i mean some of the other things are alright but marmite is the fucking food of the gods.

Red pesto.

The cupboards are bare and I couldn't face a Saturday morning/afternoon shop as it's hell in the supermarket, putting it off till later.

I made some toast with butter and a quick recce of the fridge for topping resulted in the following choices:

1. grainy mustard
2. parmesan cheese
3. mint sauce
4. salad dressing
5. half a jar of leftover red pesto

Mmmmmm... red pesto on toast. Can't think why I've never tried this before.

What is the best thing on toast?

my recipe for mushroom sauce with wine and cream... it's supposed to be for putting on mashed potatoes or in a jacket potato, but I like it on toast as well.
