My auntie used to make me a breakfast called 'cheesyhammyeggy'. In case this needs explaining , piece of toast, layer of ham, layer of cheese (melted under grill) with a poached egg on top. Fucking lush!

When it comes to toast toppings, I'm an absolute slag. I'd tick all of them, I reckon, apart from peanut butter as it sticks uncomfortably to the roof of my mouth. Beans on toast, tinned pilchards on toast, mushy peas on toast - bring 'em all on (though not all at the same time)! When it comes to toast, the possibilities are endless. A world without toast would be very dull indeed (not to mention very peckish)

I think that's the hard roes - the grainy gritty ones that are actually eggs.

The soft ones are technically milt, not roe, so they are boy fish jism.

and they are bloody lovely on toast.
