"Feelgood.." aside, that's a fairly lame album. They talked a good talk, but sounded pretty limp for the most part.

If album then White Stripes Elephant. I'm sure there's better out there but if it aint on Kerrang TV (or MTV2) I aint heard it so I aint bought it!

there is something top about the deftones innit.

it's the fact that it's bloody well made and dead smart i think. i can listen to most of their output regularly, and i think they're the only 'metal' band from that era i still care about really.

Be Quiet And Drive - that's on the Around The Fur album (their 2nd after Adrenaline)

Deftones are one of the best of the mid-90's U.S bands IMO.

I would go with what LDRUdeboy mentioned above - Mastodon's Blood Mountain.

It's pure old school unadulterated heavy metal, mixed with something of Queens of the Stone Age, and a bit of proggish intelligence. It rocks.

As much as I love Roots, I still think Chaos AD is the better album.
