I'm sure there have been thousands of 'reccommend me some anime' threads, but it will only take a second to post a couple of names up again or CnP a list, and i've finally got uTorrent...
Anime i have seen and liked:
Ghost in the Shell - incredible, best thing ever
all of Studio Ghibli
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Serial Experiments Lain
Gasaraki
akira
Metropolis (2000)
Battle Angel Alita
Elfen Lied
Perfect Blue
Anime i did not like:
Vampire Hunter D
Hellsing
all vampire related gash
afro samourai (sooooooooooooo shit)
Bleach
Ranma
anime suggestions? I'm 110% cyberpunk, so thats a preference, but anything fairly highbrow is good.
Thanks to Moggy for introducing me to all the anime i listed btw![]()

i'm looking for some decent anime.... i'm a complete novice... but have seen GIS film and akira. watched couple of Cowboy Bebop.... didnt think it was more than alright, kind of dissapointed after plenty of people insisted i watched it....
is it worth sticking with?
is ergo proxy worth a watch? been recommended that too....
and hack/sign...
i remember speaking to shippou at an urban shindig and he recommended i watch something which i can tfor the life of me remember... the plot had something to do with a character who was writing an anime series.... i know how very post modern... it sounded interesting though....
Shippou-Chan said:hack/sign is well animated... has some good music
but i remember it being as boring as fuck with nothing happening
Shippou-Chan said:in other news i have just downloaded the blueray rip of honneamise no tusbasa
lobster said:wasn't it originally released in 1987? i wonder if hi def makes a difference to it...
lobster said:I am glad i am not alone, i was all disappointed, i vaguely remember it was based inside a virtual computer and small battles and small talk between the characters. i only saw about 5 episodes then decided to delete the lot.
