The Best Anarchist Magazines

I have a copy of the RCG's "Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!" in the house. They were selling it in town. And managed somehow to talk my sister (who has no interest in politics) into buying a copy.

I quite like Organise!, the AF one. They very nicely sent me a few back issues of it for free.

"Fight This Fight That" is of course a trotskyist publication not an anarchist one.

The RCG, which publishes Fight This! Fight That!, abandoned Trottery long ago. RCGers love, and will not criticise, the 'socialist countries'. They are especially devoted to Fidel, Raul and their Caribbean fiefdom.

any of you cocks going to the @ bookfair on saturday? i reckon i'll take a toddle along and have a few drinks in that pub across the road. :)

The Black hand has escaped from the Gulag and returned, has it been cleared with the management, has he learned not to shit on the carpet ?

WTF are U gibbering about now, i have done nothing I am unhappy with:D

I can't remember who said it but it went something like this;
'There is nothing wrong, just different roads to stardom':D

Definately maybe:p

Here's a critique of one of the articles within:

Apparently written to discuss the BNP’s 2007 electoral performance, Mayday actually came out immediately after the 2008 May elections – where the BNP achieved some of the best results ever by British fascists! Rather than reflect on this, the author has instead continued to work on a theory recognisable not for its sophistication or accuracy, but the dogged persistence with which it is made.

Welcome back. :p

It is possible to argue with that so-called critique, it could start as follows;

I remember the magazine came out in time for Mayday 2008 (it certainly was on sale at the May '68 40th anniversary event), to my mind that's b4 the May 2008 elections. Not that that is important anyway. It is noticeable that rather than argue with the claims made in the Mayday article, a spurious issue (timing/persistence) was chosen to try and dismiss the pov. Anyway, the article was a contribution to ongoing debates surrounding anti fascism and therefore has a timeless character about it.

BTW it was very noticeable that Mayday had the best and most timely poster/front cover, and therefore the best magazine when you include the lead article on the postal dispute at the anarchist bookfair:D:D:cool:

Speaking of posties posters bristol IWW have done one you can either stick up in the window, on lamposts, or paste it on the letter box next week on the day the delivey workers are off. Link

The evidence just keeps coming in, here's stuff from my email account.

I emailed some people yesterday saying that the black and white version i use for photocopying is on that Indymedia thread now, I got this reply from a guy I don't know who is on a labour movement network;

"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx brill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks. bazx"

This is suitably anonymous, I do not think there is any compromise of security here...
