Yea Pan-Arab Nationalism was dreampt up by a group of Christians. And a Christian created Baathism and a Christian created one of the most deadliest Palestinian groups the PFLP - but you don't really hear much about these as it's the damn Muslims who are the vicious ones! Rose: the Granny issue is this. about 4 months ago she or he argued about the Captain R case here in Israel. If you recall, that was the Druse IDF officer who after shooting an unarmed 13 year old "Palestinian" school girl in the head, walked over and double tapped her, what we call a "confirmation shot" in order to ensure a target is dead.

Granny made an argument that the case was horrid and that the Captain was a murderer [the case WAs horrid but the Captain was NOT a murderer]. Then she talked of an Israeli news affairs show seeen on our Channel 2, called "UVDA." UVDA aired an alleged IDF tape of the incident that painted the Captain in a terrible way. Thing is, the tape was fabricated. It was made from doctored bits cut up out of context and UVDA was sued for libel.

Granny thought the case was ongoing ans that UVDA might be exnoerated at which point I informed her that it is an old story here. UVDA was found guilty and fined, for libel. She inisited on proof. that was point number one.


Then the conversation somehow meandered into poor Rachel Corrie. I reminded the thread on how ISM doctored photos of Ms. Corrie on the day of her death abd then supplied them to Reuters. Reuters published them only to find that they were fraudelent and pulled them and demanded an apology from ISM which it DID receive. Granny wanted proof of this. This was point number two.

There was a third point but at the minute I cannot recollect it.

At the time, despite Granny's expletive laden rants I agreed to provide the sources. Then I went on duty which I do for 12 day tours. I come back, she posps up before I even have a chance to say much and begins cursing and calling me a liar, etc. this went on a couple of tours until last tour when she showed a softer side. I then told her that since she/he was being so covil, I would provide it within 2 days [before it was going to be when I finished my service]. When I told her/him 2 days, he/she exploded again with a bunch od curses and I washed my hands of it.

This forum used to be half way interesting and now all I see is a bunch of smut and personality games.

As you see with your lucid posts, if soemone posts rationally, I am quite able to respond. Otherwise it is extremely difficult. Anyway, there is the U75 MYSTERY.

While the PFLP was a [and stilll is but much less powerful] viscious group, their mantra was the "One State Solution" which when taken at face value is a whole lot better than say the HAMAS theocracy with the murder of every Jew on Earth.

Lie No1: you made the claim the trial was over and UVDA lost that trial. I asked for proof of that-you havent been able to provide that evidence 6 months on.

You also claimed in that same post that the producers of UVDA admitted during that trial their segment on Captain R was 'pure fantasy'. Again-6 months on you havent provided me with a shred of evidence that this claim was true.

Lie No 2: You claimed that the ISM leadership admitted doctoring photos of rachel corrie. No such confession exists-6 months on yet again you havent been able to provide the proof.

New Lie: There were no 'expletive laden rants' intially-only until you kept fobbing me off did I start pushing harder and it became 'expletive laden' that however isnt the issue-stop deflecting. You have been asked consistently by myself and several other posters for proof of the above for 6 months. All you have done is provide excuse after excuse. You have told me from the start the information is 'readily available' for all to find. But you oddly have no time to find that easy to hand information. Yet you have the time to post other lengthy posts in between tours.

So whilst you are trying to put a slant on your lies to the poster you have quoted please allow me to retort.

Fuck me! Has every thread for the last 6 months descended into petty squabbling that has nothing to do with the topic?! 6 MONTHS!!

Now I know I'm probably about as popular as Rachamim18 on this forum but I'm quite interested in discussin the topics so is there no chance that this little fued could perhaps just have a thread of it's own instead of derailing every single thread (not even ones on Israel/Palestine!)

There are a lot of people in this forum who have valid and interesting points to make on Middle Eastern affairs (I even include nino in that!!) but if every thread is gonna end up like this one then no-one (even you) will have a chance to get those points across....

What does this have to do with the price of fish or the tea in China? Saddam Hussein did not found the Ba'ath party in Iraq nor was he the only Iraqi dictator to kill thousands of other Iraqis.

ETA: there were Shia and Kurdish members of Ba'ath. Tariq Aziz was a Christian and a member of Ba'ath. Just to add: Hekmat Suleyman was a Kurdish general who was responsible for the massacre of over 2,000 Assyrians.

Are you suggesting then that its possible to discuss topics and enjoy lively debate with a poster that has lied? Debating is about the exchange of ideas not an arena where one can post lie after lie then expect not to be challenged.
