Well we have a winner - well done Mauvais!

It's an excellent piece, I really enjoyed it. Enjoyed them all this month, there was some really good tales, Night Shift and Half light Two I particualrly liked, and found it very difficult to choose between them when it came to vote.

Well done Mauvais

Night shift was awesome as well, and Authenticity Trashed was very funny.

Are we to assume WAR!!!!!!!! as the next topic:D

I'd quite like it to be WAR but my worry is that it might become commoditised and I'd lose my unique market positioning.

Also I voted for Way out of the Woods because I thought it was the best yarn. Not sure about the ending - maybe should have been cut earlier - but it didn't really matter. Good set of entries, not all my thing but I can still appreciate em. Cheers everyone, will sort a theme shortly.

I voted for half Light Two. Top notch piece of satire :)

Yes, some v.funny moments with a serious message about how some victims of crime are treated.

I like Night Shift a lot as well and thought Ketchup deserved to do better than it did. They were all really enjoyable though.

Authenticity Trashed did as well. I enjoyed the abstracted internet humour of it.

Looking forward to the new topic. I'm gonna put a bit more effort in this month. One vote is not enough!

Well, I quite like the idea of 'counting chickens' as a theme. You could go with the saying and have a story with a message, or just go off on some literal tangent. How does that sound?

It's shit, but I can shoehorn a narrative that is off on a tangent into that theme:D

I was going to say there was lots of scope for stories about come backs and so on but that's chickens coming home to roost rather than counting chickens :D

I came up with quite a good idea for it, then sent a synopsis to loads of urbs when i was fucked on mdpv (:hmm:) and then over the subsequent couple of days I've expanded it into what could really be quite a cracking book.

This only happened because you came up with such a banal title so I tried to think of something really surreal to react against that.

the problem is, though, I'm still trying to finish my Chinatown meets Star wars effort, and now this is going to get in the way
