Works for cycling too.

.... only it knackers the elastic and means you need to wear expensive walking socks all year round - so I've re-invented the legwarmer to use up knackered socks. (I wear the soles out because I don't wear slippers around the house)

My combats / DIY legwarmer combo 15 minutes ago.

Only problem is that this one pair is now in its second year so I need to find a less efficient use for my knackered socks ....
