The 1st in 2008 Welsh Meet Thread

Thanks to my advanced degree in applied meetaromics (the science of meets) I have calculated that February would be the best time for the next welsh meet (all Urbanites welcome wherever they may live, yes even those from Swansea).

To save all the fussing and faffing about the venue I shall take an executive decision and say right here and now that its the Millers Tavern, Cardiff again. Hey it was a success last time and like a football manager I am loath to change a winning formula.

This is the first poll to see when in February people would prefer the meet to take place.

This poll is not legally binding but the next one (once the date is decided) asking you to confirm whether you really are coming or not will be (details of the punitive punishments pending).

Feel free to post much silliness in this thread whether you know what dates you can make or not. I didn't need to add that bit now did i really?!

In the spirit of Welsh meet threads of the past, we will eventually decide to meet on the least popular date because it is the only date LMHF can make it. We will all change plans so we can make the date and then sit around all evening waiting for the non appearance of LMHF.

Ill be honest, the other times I havent been able to make it. Im not aware of any time I have ever got anyone to plan anything with my speficially in mind, certainly the date has never been changed for my benefit.
I work damned hard, as does my husband,we both work weekends we also have no family support regards babysitting etc
Your constant harping makes me not want to come.Your fixation with me therefore can end. It serves no purpose anyway other than to make you happy it seems...

I'm hoping to go to Latvia some time in the new year. It's looking pretty sketchy though, so any of those dates seem fine ATM. So yeah if I'm not lost in the Boltic, I'll be up for this.

Hes been constantly harping on for over a 12 mth now whenever theres a meet up ( the the suggestion of) he rolls out the same old tired criticisms of me
So since I clearly affect his thoughts so much Ill not come Like I said I dont actually feel welcome and Im actually utterly sick of his constant harping on about whether Im there or not

I certainly remember the first couple of meets WERE arranged when you could make it, and lets be honest it has become something of a joke that yu never turn up!

Anyway, like Fizzer says I'm a big softy really, which you would know for yeself if u ever came and had a drink with us all, but if yu wanna miss the chance of a great night out just cos of me, then go ahead and you will well and truly be cutting off ya facial appendage to spite yesen.

LMHF...It is very difficult at times to correctly gage the intent of some posts on BB's. However, I respect your feelings and perceptions but sincerely wish you would reconsider. There are many of us (I suspect 1927 included) that would really love to meet you and share a friendly drink and chat.

Look I've just come back from Liverpool a week after a european tour of cyprus, greece and italy. Now they have convinced me to go to Charlton next week when I don't really want to go that much..

The last thing I want to think about atm is any more trips. I'm tripped out.

I was moaning about not having had a holiday in ages. Be careful what you wish for cause now I'm moaning about never being home.
