That's not even a joke!!!!

 ;)

Whatever Southern league it was that Weymouth, I think, came up from to join the Conference for this coming season.

There are two feeder leagues below the Conference, one in the North and another in the South, but I'm having a hungover moment and I can't remember them ... :o
Isn't it Conference North and Conference South?

I can't discuss Rovers atm other than that the chairman's a cunt.

I wish bad things on the McDongs, Swindle and Twatkins

Going to see Hereford Uniteds last friendly to see how they form on tuesday. We lost most of our Play Off winning side back to the conference.

We've got Anthony Grant ona year long loan from Chelsea , and Lambert got a few players on trial as well , so hopefully the players lost after last season will be replaced

Loads of rumours flying about that Paul Ince is going to be joining his mate Dennis Wise at STFC. I certainly hope he doesn't. We don't need another temperamental has-been. We desperately need a combative central midfielder, but I'd rather it wasn't him. Not sure we could afford his wages anyway.

Swindon Town - Bankrupt within 6 months.

Looks like the club has been taken over by the people who tried to get Keith Alexander out in January. Apparently the club is being made into a plc, which I'm a bit dubious about. There's talk of a 1.25million investment over 3 seasons though.

It looks like our board are putting their fingers in their ears and hoping that everything blows over...

sadly it looks like this may be the case assuming we have a good start to the season

4-1 :(

4 - fucking - 1

all my pre season optimism dashed in the first fucking 45 minutes. Still, at least we're not bottom!

i'm going to start supporting my local darts club this season, never really liked football anyway :)

A 1-0 win at Hartlepool with our keeper saving two penalties, then our Chief Exec, Marketing Manager and investor are involved in a plane crash on the way home. What a way to start the season!

Thankfully nobody was killed. I wish all involved a speedy recovery.

A startling comeback by the (slightly) Mighty Mariners. 2-0 down to Boston of all people....

Then after 65 minutes we substitute the transfer-requesting Reddy(-to-go) for a trainee called Bore, who scores with his first touch on his league debut within 10 seconds of coming on. Then we equalise and then Bore scores AGAIN!

Good luck to the lad.... he'll be our very own Wayne Rooney for the next few weeks at least ;)

Blimey and kinell...

a 1-0 away win against Rochdale, courtesy of Martin Butler scoring the cruical and matchwinning goal in the 48th minute. A quite deserved win and the team could have scored 2 more goals in the match, which they dominated.

I'm more than pleased with this result, because our away performances was one of the many contributing factors that made Walsall get relegated from League 1. But i'm taking nothing for granted, especially after what happened last season.

First home match is against Stockport (7.45pm kick off) a team who nearly got relegated into the Conference last season. Then it's Hartlepool on Saturday

IS reddy any good? DIdn't he have a really bad injury a bit back?

From the BBC:

Swindon 2-1 Barnet
Swindon earned a last-minute winner against Barnet thanks to a stunning Royce Brownlie 25-yard strike.
The visitors had taken a surprise lead through Nicky Bailey after 17 minutes when he fired in a left-footed shot.

But Ricky Shakes equalised for Swindon with a strike from the right-hand edge of the box after 53 minutes.

The Robins laid siege to the Barnet goal in the second half and their pressure finally told when Brownlie struck late on.

Two wins out of two, can't complain. Rochdale at home on Saturday.

we lost our second straight game, but we moved up a place to 22nd!!! Watch our mighty rise up the league

He was out for quite a bit at the end of last season, with recurrent groin strain, and left the pre-season training at RAF Honington with the same trouble.

Still, he scored plenty of goals last season as well. Grimsby seem to have a tradition of losing their best players at the end of each season, usually because they get relegated but this year it was because they didn't quite get promoted.

Last night, Town managed to lose 3-0 to Wrexham, Reddy played for the first half (until they were 2-0 down), Bore for the 2nd. Not good at all.
