'That Sunday night feeling'

Hate Sunday nights....

Can't sleep :(

I get that, tossing and turning and thinking about stuff, that's mainly as a result of having a lie in on Sunday morning in my case...

I really envy people who have non 9-5 jobs...

Stick the comfiest duvet cover on, blanket aswell, get a beer and some bombay mix, stick a video on. Snuggle other half. Fall asleep within 10 seconds of start of video, in bed full of bombay mix. works for me.

i don't have a 9-5 job (start at 2 on a monday finish at 8.30)..but i did one in the past. didn't really like it tbh - was working in IT in Amsterdam. loved where i lived but not what i had to do in order to live there.
now me job is ok.
no more than that. just ok. but i am studying in order to do something i like. (ekkk ..final exams next week! - am here i am in the middel o the day posting on Urban!!).
anyways..WHY do we do things that we do not like to do>?
why do a job that u do not enjoy?? usually because we have a load of reasons why we cannot give the job up...u know what they are.

but is this true? maybe the worst will not happen. mayeb u find somethinf u like to do?
just try it i reckons. no point gping on doing somethign u hate. u might die tomorrow. why spend yer last day on earth in a place u don't like. do what ya like to do! or as some one said 'follow yer bliss'. :D

I find it helps that as soon as I start to get those negative feelings to purge all thoughts of work from my head by telling myself that I aint their bitch until Monday morning at 9am and they aint gonna have one little bit of me until then. It's a tactic that I am finding works rather well. Telling myself that I have 2 days to myself and I should make sure those 2 days are ALL for myself - not 1.5 days.

Yep, works for me this one as well :)

I find making the most of the day helps as well, so if I haven't been out Sat night, I get up early, get lots done like reading, housework, films, long walk - loads of different stuff so I feel like I've not wasted the day

Agreed - that's a good plan too :)

A few things that help lessen that Sunday night feeling:

cooking myself a nice dinner.
having something interesting to watch on TV (plus hopefully MOTD2 features a good game)
getting all chores done before dinner (its bin collection first thing Mon so that always needs doing) putting the weeks dishes on, getting shirts ironed and other laundry put away.

Makes me feel ready for the week ahead without dread as I've had a productive evening (also even better if I've managed to get out and about during the day and done something productive or relaxing other than sitting around doing bugger all).

nope I don't get a sunday feeling in this job, I do however fucking hate mornings and getting up is the thing I hate

i means do sumting ya like for work..:)

Oh I see - sorry - well that's the holy grail isn't it and unfortunately, not many people achieve it.

I can't actually think of a single job I'd enjoy anyway - given that I'd rather not work in the first place :D Unfortuantely, I need to pay the mortgage, buy food and clothes, go on holiday etc. so it's a necessary evil!
