That Petrol Emotion

I've been listening to TPE on Last FM, loving their stuff again, will buy some - although the choice is limited to itunes really, they seem a bit pricy on amazon, and ebay only have LPs and cassettes:confused: and i have never done any of that torrent stuff

used CD of babble, going for £25.99 on amazon, £25.99!!!
Exactly. Which is why I would urge them to reissue their albums, at least MPT and Babble.

I went to a fair few London gigs. They were always supported by Voice Of The Beehive.

Fun times.

Yeah, Steve Mack and one of the beehive girls were a couple.

maybe still are, who knows? maybe lil' beehive wearing skate kids leaping about like mentals..

I thought Babble was re-issued a few years back am I wrong?

...oh yeah, it's an import of that - £25!!!

still, Peel sessions one looks good and it's got V2

I'm sure I remember them doing a later one than that with stuff from Babble though, maybe not,

He says his favourite gig was the Electric Picnic last year, but the New Inn was a cracker too.
Acceptable answer.
He says he remembers that and it was a great gig. They were going to have the night off but someone said they'd put him on but they wouldn't pay him and they went on anyway and it was great.
It was a very small venue, just the back room of a pub with a capacity of 200 or so. No bouncers, 6 inch high stage, and a great spirit amongst the crowd. We turned up early expecting the place to get packed later on and for a while in the bar it was just us and the band at the table beside us. My brother had a chat with Steve Mack whilst having a piss in the toilets and requested V2. He said they'd pull a few out of the bag, and they did, but V2 wasn't one of them.

Feck! I picked the wrong week to go to Africa. :(

Anyway. This thread may be even odder for him than we all think.

For a couple of years ago I had an exchange on a forum I used to frequent about TPE with someone who just happened to be sat next to their drummer.

Now....either missfran is the same internerder under a different name - or Ciaran is surrounded by people chatting away about him all the time without him knowing

Really hope i get to see them play again sometime.

Forty floors high, and I have lost my tongue
all I want is yetserday, but today has just begun....

How very weird (that link doesn't work btw). It wasn't me, but it might have been someone in my team. Or someone from where he used to work (which is the same place that Atomic Suplex used to work). To be fair, it is the media, we do all spend all day arsing about on the internet.
