That Justin Robertson JDJ Mix From Select

mixmag did used to have some stonking free cover cds, i've got a couple of belters by Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier that i still play from time to time.

What a treat - I thought it was only me and my girlfriend that could remember that tape -

I lost it and spent several years keeping an eye open in charity shops for it - when me an the mrs got together I was scratting about in a tape box in oxfam and she was intrigued to know what i was looking for.

Thinking I was the only person in the world who knew about this tape like a wanker i kept saying she wouldn't have heard of it until she finally persuded me to explain what it was - to which she replied "oh yeah i know the one I have got it home"

Anyway since then in true tape fashion it has been eaten my stereo so to find it here is a right bonus, just had a listen now and it's a great mix brings back some good memories of first getting into electronic music.

Remember when you could buy tape packs too in the trendy clothes stores back in the day? (when i was like 12 :( ) They were basically feeds direct to DAT tapes recorded at clubs accross the UK. Before all the super clubs started cashing in on their names with official releases like Cream Live and Ministry Of Sound Sessions.

I've still got a couple somewhere of Smokin' Jo, Graeme Park and Alister Whitehead and they're proper banging tapes too. I miss having a tape player though!!

thankyou thankyou THANKYOU MiniGMgoit.

I had that tape back in...ummm....'95 or whenever it was, and lost it. Loved that mix so much. God, it's bringing back memories <weeps> :D
