Surely the best JDJ ever was 76 Minutes of Madness by ColdCut?
No, it came free with a shitty dance music mag...
Didn't it? I'm *sure* it was a cover CD with Mixmag...
I'm pretty sure they weren't given away either - the Mixmag Live series was released commercially.mixmag did used to have some stonking free cover cds, i've got a couple of belters by Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier that i still play from time to time.
Yep, but the ones I think Paulie is referring to are on the Mixmag Live series, which were sold, not given away:http://www.discogs.com/label/Mixmag
All cover mounted CDs. I've got about 20 of these, plus about 15 that Muzik gave away...some fucking great mixes too...
Which confirms the above. The Roger Sanchez mix is a belter and i quite enjoyed the Journey one as well iirc.http://www.discogs.com/label/Mixmag

) They were basically feeds direct to DAT tapes recorded at clubs accross the UK. Before all the super clubs started cashing in on their names with official releases like Cream Live and Ministry Of Sound Sessions.
