That c-nt Lance fucking Armstrong has come out of retirement

I thought y'all might be interested in my poll about LA's cuntiness over at the bikeradar forum. I tried to give him a head start by pitting him against the worst of the worst, including a murderer. Quite surprised by the result. :D

Which sportsman is the biggest See You Next Tuesday ever?
----------------------------------------------------------

L. Armstrong 32% [ 14 ]
Mike Tyson 6% [ 3 ]
O.J. Simpson 16% [ 7 ]
Geoffrey Boycott 6% [ 3 ]
Beckham 9% [ 4 ]
Somebody else - name and shame him 27% [ 12 ]

Sort of weighted in the favour of him coming out on top by your having posted it on a bike forum though isn't it, comrade?

Whilst I have to respect seven straight TdFs, there's a school of thought which says Contador is a more rounded rider already, given he's now joined Anquetil, Gimondi, Merckx and Hinault in winning all three big Tours. Armstrong, post cancer, has always concentrated 100% on just the TdF. It's not unheard of for one team to have two GC challengers (Riis and Ullrich in 1996, Sastre and Frank Schleck this year), but with both those examples there was a predetermined leader.

On the other hand the 'TdF' is the biggest and most financially important in the world and no-one else has won so many in a row and brought it so much publicity and even been in a film by Kevin Smith. (I think)

yes but one of the OP's arguments was that those into cycling, who take a keen interest in it and are on the whole much more knowledgeable about the it think Lance Armstrong is a cunt.

The fact that the cycling community holds Armstrong in lower esteem than those with little real interest in the sport is surely all the more damning of him.

True. I'm not sure which I side with, but I thought I'd just raise it as a possible opinion.

As for publicity, does that put Beckham above Cruyff, Puskas, Platini, Baresi, etc?
