See. Half-litre beers are easy. Not quite to the top.More of the case for changing to Km here from the Association:
Speed limits
I guess introducing 20km per hour speed limit would make things even safer!![]()

Let's hope we can also catch up with their acceptance of racism, their mistreatment of animals and their failure to pick up dogshit.
Cricket has been craving metrication all along. 22 yards is almost exactly 20 metres. They can fuck off with their irregular verbs too. And Thierry Henri. And they can't play cricket.
Yep. Tell a French person your height in feet and inches and they will mentally convert to centimetres to get a feel for how tall you are.Construction is all in metric, so I think in metric completely. '"Human scaled" is just another way of saying "it's what I'm used to"

We could certainly catch up with their eagerness to strike and protest.Let's hope we can also catch up with their acceptance of racism, their mistreatment of animals and their failure to pick up dogshit.
Make each wicket 25mCricket has been craving metrication all along. 22 yards is almost exactly 20 metres.
See how good it could be?
It's quite common for people to add a half inch when giving their height.Since I found out I was 1cm taller than Little Tommy Cruise I've taken to giving my height in centimetres

People are getting taller. Six foot is no longer the benchmark for impressive height. The forward-thinking French have already allowed for this by establishing the 2 metre threshold. There's another thing. If someone tells you they're 182 centimeters tall, can you picture their height?
No.
But if they say they're 6 foot, you immediately envisage a tallish person.
This alone carries the day.
Make each wicket 25m
5 balls in an over
Instead of scoring 4s and 6s just make 4s worth 5 and 6s score 10
Much easier

They've already done some shit like that and called it "The Hundred"![]()

i go by the signs, and i do the same route every day so there are rarely any surprises.Be careful with that one; I have proved at least three times that this to be incorrect on our new electric work cars.
Outside of Holland being two metres tall is very rare. I'm just under and I see people taller than me maybe a couple of times a year.People are getting taller. When York Way went 20mph a few years back I was repeatedly beeped and overtaken sticking to 20 - once by a London bus.
I was looking at an American RFI the other day.Construction is all in metric, so I think in metric completely. '"Human scaled" is just another way of saying "it's what I'm used to"

Here is another example that I found while at work last night with the new electric car showing one speed and the road sign anotherThe car I drive for work has a speed limiter which can be set and it tells you the speed limit on the dashboard, therefore, yes, the car industry can very much do this. The problem isn't technical, it's political. Can you imaginable the levels of outrage among the Daily Mail types if this happened?

pint of Stella at the OktoberfestTry asking for a litre of Guinness in Ireland. I dare you.
are you really surprised the Planet Rock warps your perception of reality by a third? Here is another example that I found while at work last night with the new electric car showing one speed and the road sign another

I can visualise both quite happily. However when it comes to weight I can only do kg I just don't get stone and imperial cooking measurements baffle me, I have no idea how many oz in a lb. I'm in my mid 30s, I was basically taught metric for anything that wasn't travel distance which is miles and fractions of a mile although I I have no idea how many feet or yards there are in a mile. Once I'd drop to those distances I think in meters. There's another thing. If someone tells you they're 182 centimeters tall, can you picture their height?
