The TV cable network was designed for downloading (TV) - so as a data network you don't get the upload speeds of ADSL. Unless you're making and distributing TV recordings and mixes it isn't really an issue.
I suppose it depends how much you're paying for these multimedia files and who is running the server that's supplying them.
The ISP only sets the maximum speed and probably isn't the weak link in the chain.
At least that's my understanding.
Install Netmeter and find out where the bottleneck is.![]()
