Tesco Grocery Delivery

What would you give them. It's not a mouth that's been at these, so I'm guessing maybe a bit of machinery  Whatever it is, it does not make me want to eat them :D

I give them 1.7 out of 10 I think.

Seriously, it is only a small thing but worth complaining about. They will credit you straight away.

Can't find any vouchers for a £50 spend.

I just cannot seem to get any sodding discounts and I still can't figure out why I keep getting error messages .

what browser are you using minnie? I've been finding firefox a right pain in the arse with tesco at the moment, but opera is fine.

does this voucher work? XXF43L valid 21/07 - 27/07 - £4 off £40

I had that problem a couple of weeks ago but it showed a discount when I went through to the next page. I think I was probably using Firefox so it could be likely Tanky says and that's what caused it.

oh, and with the discounts, I keep getting a message saying that the voucher can't be used, but the discount is very clearly showing on my bill.

rang them up yesterday and they said that I hadn't accumulated enough club card points to get the vouchers. They said they send vouchers out every 3 months.

I told him I was copying and pasting them from on-line and he said I wouldn't be able to do that and that's why they weren't working

Dunno owt about that but my bird does the shopping and they keep turning up with "substitutions" ie shite they can't get rid of.

the vouchers that we're finding online have nothing to do with your account though. honestly, they're working fine for me - even though once I've entered the voucher code it says it doesn't work, the money still comes off.

well I entered them and just kept getting error messages, so rang them up and he said I couldn't use them

Minnie - they'll refund the delivery charge for a late delivery! Get on the phone! I sometimes have to go through shitloads of vouchers before I find one that'll work btw.

Last time that happened to me, they refunded ½ (on the basis that it had actually been delivered albeit late sort of thing)

problem is, I didn't sign for it as delivery guy had left his machine downstairs.

I told him to just squiggle my initials. Now if he didn't there'd be no proof he was 1/2 hour late would there?

I haven't had much wrong with the bread/veg from Tesco (although I did with Sainsburys)...but in any case, is there's ever a problem with anything, you just call em up and they'll refund you the cost.

Also Minnie - always check hotukdeals.com to get all the vouchers available for Tesco...I very rarely can't find at least one that works, so effectively never pay delivery and more often than not get an £8 or £10 voucher, so you're actually getting a few quid on top of it paying for the delivery.

I've finally got my Tesco clubcard. I rang them a while ago and said I couldn't use any voucher codes and they told me until I was a full member (ie. had a proper clubcard) I wouldn't be able to use the codes.

I still can't. I put code in and I just get error message coming up

I only ever used Sainsbury and Ocado delivery/online shopping. I always found them very reliable. Can't comment on Tesco although I believe they are just as good as the others.

With regard to Tesco home shopping, I've read a few posts on this thread so i thought I'd give you some info that might clear up some issues.

- Time pressures and laziness ( order pickers have set time to adhere to) will mean you will invariably get what is at the front of the shelf (probably older if rotated properly), and why subs can be shite (there are also availability targets to adhere to - over 97%)

- If youve asked for no subs, but got one anyway its because they are trying to fiddle their availability targets so you;ll get whatever - wether you like it or not!

- All grocery homeshopping is carried out in regular Tesco stores (each home shopping store has a certain catchment area) so if the store has been busy that will affect availabilty of your order.

I'm going to do that today. I'm still awaiting my delivery which was meant to be between 5.00-7.00pm.
