I specifically remember it being announced in the 70s that that was the dawning of the age of Aquarius.BTW the Age Of Aquarius starts around 2600AD.

Does it? Oh, well thats that theory out of the fucking water then eh
What the hell is zeitgeist on about then? Is it misled, disillusioned or just full of shit?![]()
or the end of the world as we don't know it![]()
the end of everything, the beginning of nothing![]()
Ah, fair enough. Its not that though - have you seen Zeitgeist yet? Thats a much more likely scenario, the next chapter of an age (an age being a historic measurement of time - moving from the age of pisces into aquarius)![]()
)Most likely scenario is that it's bollocks. The only reason it's given credibility is because it dovetails with the end of the Mayan calendar
it was mostly based on Terence's observation that time seems to be speeding up

Aren't we lucky to be living in such momentous times.he is long dead! (in the bodily sense anyway)
the scientific model of the history of the universe clearly shows that time is exponentially accelerating, 2012 is the culmination of that acceleration (i cant remember the mathmatical term, but the point where time converges towards, without ever quite reaching, just getting infinitely closer and closer)

Quite. Can we move this faux-schizophrenic-drivel to the astrology forum please?
is zeitgeist a film? (no i havene seen it but with a name like that i want to)
we wont know what it is (if it's anything) until it comes
but i've placed my bets on it being literally the end of time
I'll take that bet
That Hawaiin place is where that spurious lawsuit against CERN was started from to stop the LHC being switched on by attempting to sue Fermilab for providing them with equipment, on the basis that there were 'no guarantees' that the earth won't be swalled by strangelets or other bits of exotic matter...

It's not just that, but the lack of vision it displays - who's to say that if the world were devoured by a strangelet that our conciousnesses wouldn't be transformed and imprinted on the local quantum fabric, elevating us to post-human without the need to faff around with downloading ourselves into computers and whatnot...

He won't actually go through with it.

I've got a soft spot for Terence, but I'm reading True Halucinations at the moment and its utter bunk.
