The crowd were behind the British girl, and that's completely understandable. But they weren't booing the Thai girl or anything. How were they a disgrace and unsporting? The Wimbledon crowd are more sporting than the audience for any other sporting events.
They shouldn't let any British players enter Wimbledon it gets embarrassing when the "come on Tim" brigade get wake up. Who gives a fuck if she is British. It was the girls' tournament not the olympics.

It's also embarrassing that her victory was portrayed as the first British victory at Wimbledon in umpteen years. The last British winner at Wimbledon was Jamie Murray last year in the mixed doubles. Even I know that.

IIRC the BBC do show the Australian and French majors live, but only show the final on BBC1/2, showing the big matches behind the red button and on channel 301 on Freeview unless Murray, or a few years ago Henman, makes the 2nd week, in which case they clear the schedules to show it live. I remember watching Murray give Nadal a real scare in Melbourne a few years ago on a Monday lunchtime on BBC2. Sky have the US Open and Masters Series.
Anyway, how the farc can you say tennis is Snorsy McBoredom this year after that epic final, you'll do well to see a better piece of drama this year in any field, and the Murray v Gasquet match wasn't half bad either.
