If you see the execrable Neverwhere adaptation, he's the best thing in it. He looks like the Doctor with a long coat and shit. De Carabas is played fairly similar to Doctor who as well (a bit darker morally though)
 
a black doctor would make for a brilliant regeneration, the Doc coming round, realising his face feels a bit funny with those new teeth, and then....
 
I think Kris Marshall would be good altho I wouldn't argue too much if Patterson Joseph became the new doctor. I'm not a great fan of David Tennant so I'm not greatly upset to see him go.

If they want a woman then maybe Jennifer Saunders?
 
Kris Marshall would be alright...if he hadn't done those stupid BT ads, where it's now looking like he'll get his bit of old snatch back...

Besides, if JOhnson becomes the Dr, maybe we'll get Big Sooz as the Drs assistant...I really hope that there's a fit assistant next series, instead of having to look and listen to the gobby Tate character...hell, I'd even take Martha back...or whatshername, was in ER, was in the one about the giant library...Alex Kingston...nice bit of MILFage there...

Am I the only person alive who has been thoroughly turned off Dr Who by Tennant's hammy acting and gurning? I'm relieved he's going - I hope they go ultra, ultra dark now.

it's still a family show Ken, they aint going to start involving really dark themes. They save those and do them really really badly on Torchwood
 
So that's settled then.


The next Doctor will be played by Grace Jones.




And she'll have a hard-to-put-your-finger-on "chemistry" with her sidekick, played by Björk :D

Yeah, but Star Wars was a family film - THE family film - and it still kicked absolute arse with Empire.

I forgot about Torchwood. Fucking Torchwood, Christ, if there's one person alive I hate more than David Tennant (and, in fact, there are about 10,000), it's Jon fucking Barrowman. Where did this twat come from? How did he get so famous without me noticing? When is he going to fuck off?

Rhys Ifans would be bloody brilliant. Get him to play it as Peter Cook, dress him up in a 60s Beatle suit... WIN. Sadly, his tabloid-baiting antics would probably preclude him taking the role (although Tom Baker got up to much worse in the 70s, they just didn't report it). :)

Also, Paddy Considine, Paterson Joseph or Idris Elba for great justice.

Or Gary Oldman. If they could afford him.
