Tell me about Pavement

Missed the support as was busy in the pub :)

Lots of people do that at the Academy cos the beer prices and queues. Shame really though most supports I've seen there over the years have suffered from horrendous sound.

changed its name all the time - when I first went there back in 19xxxxx it was called (good grief) Zonkers :D

may have been the Hot House when you were there. Most of my mates still down there liv in Winton / Charminster.
Did you ever see any of Andy Nazer's bands - Sludgefeast? Anti? Bad Penny? The reformed Self Abuse?

It was the Hot House when I used to go - except I didn't spend many drunken nights there as I always had to drive as I was the only one out of all my bastard mates who could!

... as have many of the main acts I've seen there! :D

Talking of Acadey support acts, that's where I first saw/heard Clor! They were supporting The Prodigy - don't think their debut EP was even out at that point.

I was actually going to cite that as one of the worst possible examples of bad sound. Probably wouldn;t have appealed to the beery, laddy Prodigy crowd but I couldn;t hear Luke's guitar most of the time.It was all kick drum...yert again\

Anyway I just popped into this thread to reveal some exciting news which deserves a post all of it s own.......

True the sound was pretty bad but I could still hear something woeth investigating in them

Damn. Already got plans for the 17th ... oh well!
