Bosingwa instead of Ramos is the hardest thing to understand. More opinons?

    :hmm:

Ramos should be feeling a little peeved and Pepe is very lucky to sneak through. I thought the Croatian back four played well until the last second slip against Turkey. No Boruc either which is a shame, but i guess Poland's otherwise dreadful performance cost him a place. Only two Dutch players as well, which is disappointing.

Bosingwas is a surprise. I would have gone for Anyukov ahead of both him and Ramos, although Ramos has a very strong case too.

    No room for Engelaar either?

  5. that's more of a squad than a team.
what would your actual starting 11 be from those?

Yeh, I thought Stevie G would have made it. Platini's got it in for England.

I count 5 EPL players, how does that compare to other leagues?

Slightly surprised only two Dutch players got in there, but saying that I'mnot sure who else I'd put in there.

Boruc instead of Van Der Sar. He kept Poland in their games.

How Lahm makes it in ahead of Ramos, after the way he was slaughtered in the semi and the final, amazes me. I thought Puyol made a few individual slips in the tournament, and Pepe didn't impress me at all, I'd have the two Croatian boys in ahead of them. I'd also have Grosso ahead of Zhirkov, and I'd find room for Schweinsteiger and Arda too.

    Silva This went well.

Lahm scored the winning goal in the semi-final. In comparison, Torres spent more time eating grass than playing during most of the tournament - if he had sent that shot in the final wide, I doubt he'd be in this team.

Pavlyuchenko didn't impress me that much. Despite UEFA classing Podolski as a midfielder, he's really a striker and I'd put him in in place of the Russian and in his place I'd have Turan of Turkey

  14. Harold Hill

Harold Hill Jay Emm forgot his p/word

Van Nistelrooy did more in his three games than Arshavin did in his I thought.

i thought van der sar looked shit in all but one of the games i saw him in. I expect him to become a real liability for man united next season.

EVDS didn't stand out for me either. He was OK, but didn't command respect like Casillas or Buffon, or play absolute blinders like Boruc.
